I know you can fake voice clips but...you'd really have to have it in for Dream to A)Hack his Instagram account B)Get legit private pictures of him C)Fake his voice and talk to a minor with it.
Either someone has a really strong vendetta against him or its just him. I wouldn't think he's famous enough for someone to just randomly pick him for attention.

He addressed it so ain't much to do now except wait and see what happens from this Replace "Hungry Hungry Hippos" with "15 more pages of circular arguments"

It being him sounds more plausible than some hacker hacking his accounts, having a photo of him and being able to fake a voice.
You'd hope not, but there are a lot more variables to one explanation than the simpler one.

Not the first time he has had some trouble (from Fightful): Velveteen Dream was in hot water late last year. While researching a different story, Fightful was sent an affidavit for an arrest warrant for Patrick Clark, also known as WWE's Velveteen Dream. However, it was later deemed that the situation was "not suitable for prosecution." A man named Edgar Rodriguez reported a criminal mischief to Orlando PD on November 30, 2019, stating that he parked his 2015 Infiniti QX70 on North Magnolia avenue. When he returned to the vehicle, he found his driver's side window smashed, and the incident was caught on the building's surveillance footage. The footage featured a black man in a pink shirt and dark colored pants approaching the vehicle, and motioning as if he was smashing the window, before riding off in a blue Ford Mustang. On December 18, Rodriguez contacted an officer, saying he saw the same man in the same car in his parking garage. The man was identified as Velveteen Dream after a December 29 police lineup, and the Mustang's license plate showed it was registered to Clark (Dream). The damage was stated to equal $1800 according to the warrant affidavit. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Clark for criminal mischief with bail set at $1000. However, on February 11, the warrant for arrest was recalled, though no further details were given. I really don't see how this is in any way relevant I thought it was worth sharing another piece of news that came up directly because of this whole situation. Not saying that it is in any way connected or that he did anything wrong.

You know, it's possible that he may not have known he was underage aswell.
I get that it's a cliche defense BUT... You'd be surprised how many people lie about their age on dating apps like Tinder.
Hell, a few years back I was texting this girl and only when I did some research into her Facebook, did I find out she was actually only 16. That could've been extremely messy if I asked her on a date.

One of the most promising organic creations in the last few years of WWE or even more is about to quite possibly go up in smoke.
Not saying it's true one way or the other but this is really bad for him and has looked really bad from the jump.

They could have targeted more than one and he was the only one they could get in and find something like the pics, or maybe it'd be someone with some history with Dream. It does make it seem like more of a longshot, though, considering how many hackers are defined by just doing stuff like "let me just throw the n-bomb a bunch of times on their timeline, haxxorz". In any case, it's gross as hell, whether he did it or someone else.

Question from someone that hasn’t listened to the audio or read any of the chat. Does it say anywhere in them that the alleged victim stated his age (and the age of whoever was with him) before they started talking or during? The whole school line means nothing to me because colleges and universities are often referred to by some people as a school. Now if their Instagram said their age or he flat out said it during the chat and he didn’t hang up then and there...that’s a whole other story. I’ve just been around the Internet long enough to know this story can go both ways depending on the actual little details. (Or the off the rails third option of Dream having a secret arch enemy that hacked his stuff for revenge.)

The voice clip reeks of uncanny valley, and you'd have to be a whole new kind of stupid to make that post about open DM's. On the other hand, Occam's razor and all that, plus someone who has those kinds of capabilities probably isn't going after some dude in NXT. Much bigger and better fish. The only exception would be if it's a personal vendetta, but once again, there's easier ways to get revenge.

The audio clip has never felt like the slam dunk to me that it seems to with others. Is it that farfetched of a possibility that there’s an interview or a clip out there of him saying “What school do you go to?” that you could grab and make seem nefarious? If you take the implication that it’s being said to a minor he’s trying to sext with, it’s a really innocuous statement. It’s not a clip of him saying “I want to f*** you” or anything of the sort. You take that clip and throw it into this context, and it sounds gross, but I can’t eliminate the possibility that it could have come from anywhere else.
Another thing that’s odd about it... and I’m going off late night memory here (I tried to find screencaps of his insta story and couldn’t), but I’m pretty certain when Dream or whoever was on this account at the time made the post saying his DMs were open, he specifically followed it up saying that he wanted to FaceTime with people. If he was looking to FaceTime, why is this a dick pic and an audio clip?
I don’t know man. I’m just hoping this whole thing is a cruel scheme. I guess we’ll find out one way or the other very soon. Again, if this turns out to be true, he can f*** off forever.

Looking at the context of the conversation the voice clip is an oddly specific thing to say, as in almost purposefully the type of thing to make your skin crawl when you hear it.
But I guess you could flip that either way.

As for the voice clip, if it’s something that he said during an interview someone on reddit or here or somewhere will no doubt dig it up and link to it.

I'm currently looking up videos of Dream on IG live and shit on YouTube to see if the clip comes from any of those. I can't believe this is my life.

Temporarily locking this until there is more actual information. There are to be no other threads on it until then.
