It has 8 seasons of the Drew Carey hosted Whose Line plus Space Ghost Coast To Coast. I'm completely satisfied with it.

Why are so many episodes of Mad TV missing?

So no Babar, no Fraggle Rock, I thought this was going to have all the old HBO shows.

Was wondering about trying it out at least for now but the lack of Firestick support puts a bullet in that. Maybe another time.

Will the fact that it's not on Roku or FireStick and not having 4K or HDR at launch hurt HBO Max? If they don't have it within the next 30 days, absolutely. As it's been said, the combination of Roku and FireTV make up nearly 70% of the matketshare on streaming televisions, and not even the original streaming apps had 4K support. Even superfans of Friends won't settle for phone-only support (or those crazies who bought an AppleTV).

You can watch it on the latest versions of X-Box and Playstation, but I think most people prefer a dedicated device. It's bizarre decision to not have it on at least one of the two, Roku or Fire Stick. I'm a Fire Stick user, but I understand wanting to push back on Amazon, but WarnerMedia didn't think this one through. I remember Disney+ took a while to confirm Fire Stick and that was like a month or two before launch. I set up a watchlist since I get it as a HBO subscriber. There's quite a bit of stuff I like. For those looking for a deep cut, Men of a Certain Age, a grown up drama is on it.

wOW surprised they aint got Roku and FIrestick support. Might just be the people I know, but all the ones I know that stream use one of those two devices.
In a year once this is something I can get on my Roku I will try it out for a month. But I already got 8 streaming services. Doubt there will be enough on HBO max for me to keep it every month.
Now if they replaced Elmo on that talk show with Grover...Yea that would get my money every month.
GROVER>any other Muppet/Sesame Street character.

... I’m undecided. It’s more expensive than any other streaming service I have and I’m unconvinced there is enough there for me. Now, having said that, if free for a week, maybe that’s the point. If Tales from the Crypt or Dream on, classic Sesame Street, plus any of the HBO Original Movies (Indictment) or stuff like Band of Brothers or From the Earth to the Moon are there... maybe.

Will HBO Max be discontinued in a year?
It didn't launch worldwide, it's not available on Roku or Firestick, and it doesn't support 4K or HDR.

Off for six straight days from Saturday to next Thursday, time enough to see.

Will HBO Max be discontinued in a year? It didn't launch worldwide, it's not available on Roku or Firestick, and it doesn't support 4K or HDR. I think they're definitely safe in a year. They'll correct their mistakes (who knows how long that will take...). I do think their launch was a massive failure. You just can't launch a streaming service without making sure it's available on the two biggest streaming platforms. The 4K/HDR thing is disappointing but it's not as stupid as excluding Roku and Firestick. Again, I think they will eventually pull through and improve, but it's an awful start. I also think they need to add more content than what they have. They hyped up their content, but let's be honest, it's not game-changing.

Thankfully, the made a deal with Comcast so I get HBO Max with my subscription to HBO. However, no Roku means it probably won't get much use for now. I was hoping the really old shows from HBO would get on there. I've always wanted to see 1st & 10.

I was hoping the really old shows from HBO would get on there. I've always wanted to see 1st & 10. There is a DVD set of every season of 1st and 10. SHould be cheap. But one drawback is some of the episodes are the syndication cuts. I got my copy almost 10 years ago for $5.

I was hoping for more classic episodes.
