Don't know why people continue to boo this guy. To be fair, they really don't anymore. When he was in the Rumble this year was really the only time since he returned that he got booed like he used to, but things went back to normal after. Na they still do As soon as it was very clear he was getting a title shot, people started to boo again

Don't know why people continue to boo this guy. He seems like a swell chap, but folks are booing Roman Reigns, not Joe Anoaʻi. And there are a plethora of reasons to dislike that character.

Don't know why people continue to boo this guy. Because he's a product of Vince's well-worn machine and despite recovering from all the personal setbacks, he's remained very much encased in unevolving amber.

Yeah but I figured in the “reality era,” lines between character and person are kind of blurred. Like Look at Braun, he says something stupid on the internet, we boo him (deserved) even though he finally got the title after fans have been wanting that for years. Roman seems to be a real life mensch and it doesn’t matter? I know what you’re saying but I though kicking cancer’s ass and knowing how to play the PR game correctly in age of social media would win him over somewhat permanently

Compare his reactions before his diagnosis to after he came back. It's night and day. Yeah, there have been more audible boos the last few months, but the vitriol used to be to the point that they were noticably turning down crowd mics every week. Now, at the absolute worst, crowds are like 60/40 on him, but he's generally received better than that.

It’s been known for a while his wife was either pregnant or had just delivered twins. The “immunocompromised” thing was mostly speculation, as leukaemia patients very often end up with a compromised immune system but no one had outright confirmed it. I don’t think anyone on here has said that he was taking time off because of the newborns though. The reason has always been presumed to be his leukemia. Which is a logical assumption, considering what treatment can do to one's immune system and the fact he's overcome it twice. The actual reason being to try to prevent spread to his young children helps to ease some concerns that I had. I still think, all things considered, he's planning on retiring much sooner rather than later, but for right now, he's doing the right thing, I think.

All one has to do is look at what happened with Daniel Bryan and his forced isolation away from his girls, and you can very easily see why any other person put in a similar situation would choose to stay home instead.
WWE may be petty about the current situation, but I'd love to see them try to continue this petty bullshit with Roman for much longer once his contract starts coming close to expiration. I severely doubt they're going to pull the same nonsense they did with Mox when he was on his way out.

Whether it's because he's immunocompromised, taking time off because of his newborns or just staying at home because he doesn't want to travel in this current situation, it doesn't matter. Nobody should be criticised for taking the decision to stay home instead of wrestling. Good for him.

A lot of people want better for Roman than what he has in terms of character and material, that's how they express their like of Roman the man, but knowing he's great in real life doesn't necessarily make what they book him into suddenly enjoyable or decent. It's not really a two-way street there.

Vince is the same guy who, when Vince Russo complained that the introduction of Smackdown was essentially doubling his workload for no extra pay and keeping him away from his kids, told him to hire a nanny. Man,any job where you get double workload with no pay raise is a shit move, regardless of family

Don't know why people continue to boo this guy. I can't boo because I don't live in the us but I would because I dislike the character/stories and I don't think he is that good.

My roommate cut the cord a couple years ago, so my following of WWE was ppvs only. Romans booking was terrible. He was over pushed but looked like a goober that couldn’t beat Lesnar at the same time.
So when smackdown came to fox I started watching weekly shows again, Roman was in a endless feud with Corbin. At first I started enjoying him ironically. How could you not, with the fist pumping, and the Oooh Aaaaah!!s. Then after a few weeks I figured out I had became a legit fan of the guy, he’s a no nonsense ass kicker, and it really looked like he was having a ball out there with the Usos, plus every story I’ve heard behind the scenes Joe seems like a great guy.
I was excited to see him spear the shit out of Goldberg, and win the title when I could actually enjoy it as a fan. But understand and respect his decision and wish him the best. I hope he comes back to kick ass sooner than laterZ

It was well-known that he was taking time away mostly for the safety of his new twins. Roman got chest implants??

I actually think he's slowly starting to turn people around on him, he's just such a seemingly good guy that its going to be harder to boo him.
which of course means WWE is going to turn him heel as soon as he gets back

I don’t think any of the fans, supporters or detractors, seem to be questioning his passion. If that sentiment is being theorized to be coming from anywhere, it’s the company backing him. I stress theorized.

Who the f*** would question Roman's commitment to wrestling? If he was really committed he would have made sure Baron Corbin ate dog food ,the stipulation to their match was loser eat's dog food not loser has dog food smeared all over them. He really let down the business with that one
