Once I got past the Top 30 or 40, I hadn't heard of anything on that list.

Seriously, what kind of justification is there for leaving WWE network off the list?

Seriously, what kind of justification is there for leaving WWE network off the list? Not liking pro wrestling.

I was going to say, "Well, maybe it's just because WWE Network appeals to a very specific niche," but it really doesn't do so any more than stuff like the various anime channels on there, Pure Flix, and Poker Go. Feels like just a very stupid oversight or someone actively choosing to leave it out.
Also I'm disputing the idea HiDIVE is better than Funimation. They're both good but I feel like the latter has a better catalogue and it's certainly the better constructed site / app. And it's certainly inexcusable putting either one of them over Crunchyroll, much less both; I don't even use Crunchyroll that much (more into dubs) but it very much is the go-to for anime streaming services, it's what people think of first and it has the most steady supply of new content and the richest backlog.

The difference between WWE Network and even the more niche stuff is that WWE Network is JUST pro wrestling, and mostly just WWE. Using the anime example, anime covers a wide variety of genres and demographics that even just a single distributor like Funimation bring out. Yeah there is (was?) original non-wrestling content on WWEN, but it was all mostly horrible.
Another thing I noticed is that a lot of the premium sports streaming sites are pretty low on that list except for ESPN+. Sites like DAZN, UFC Fight Pass, and Bleacher Report are in the bottom 20 and they're all a lot higher profile than WWE Network.
One last thing is technical performance regardless of content. CNET is a tech site after all. Maybe WWEN just sucks from that POV compared to the others there, and that's why it's unranked.

There's TOO many damned streaming services Imo it's a good thing, the more streaming services exist it keeps the prices lower . If Netflix,Amazon,Disney etc wipe out competition then everyone's subscriptions will go up

I don’t give a shit if you don’t like wrestling or WWE specifically. If you can’t see that for 9.99 the network is an absolute bargain compared to how much it would cost you to watch a monthly PPV (and that’s before you even factor in the thousands of hours available on demand), and that can’t get it a spot on the list, then I feel the criteria needs to be changed. Value for money is the biggest factor in any streaming service.

If UFC Fight Pass is on there, then WWE Network should be. WWE Network is WAY better than UFC Fight Pass, IMO.

Which would be crazy, because from a technical standpoint, WWE is at least slightly above average. It’s certainly ahead of stuff like Crackle and PokerGo

Value for money is the biggest factor in any streaming service. It's a great deal...if you want to watch it. The current product is so bad that a lot of people don't even want to pay 10 bucks for a ppv. And even if you just like old stuff up to a certain point, you eventually run out of stuff to watch.

If nothing else it isn't prone to just restarting the video I just watched or showing categories that just were full of videos as suddenly empty.

The writer was a guest on a YouTube show about streaming called Cordkillers. To be fair, she admitted to simply forgetting about WWE Network. With all the work involved I probably would have forgotten one too.

None of the wrestling channels are listed, no WWE Network, no Fite, no Highspots, no Impact Plus, not even Rasslin (granted, that one's kind of sketchy) or Jarret Parsons Wrestling.

I watch pretty much nothing on the Network except PPVs these days and I still think it's a f***ing great bargain.

I can maybe understand forgetting, but WWE Network was the one that really blew the doors open and showed people that anyone with a significant enough amount of owned content could start a viable service.
It was far from the first streaming service, but from a historical context, it is one of the more important.
