I would love, if I get my wish and Okada teams with Yoshi-Hashi to go for the heavyweight tag titles in order to try to prove a point, for it to begin as a storyline due to Ishii or Goto pointing out to Okada, "CHAOS fired Hideo Saito for less embarrassing results than this, how long are you going to keep covering for your boy?"

It's always fun seeing SANADA look for validation from Milano.

Hideo unlike Hashi actually had been a champion before. Winning titles in the Caribbean.

No matter what happens tomorrow, LIJ will be represented in the finals What if EVIL and SANADA both got counted out and Okada wins?

I predict SANADA versus Takahashi in the finals. I'm sure Okada could win, but I feel like Takahashi getting one over on him is more interesting than SANADA beating Okada a second time, since I feel like there's just no chance of Okada getting the title shot.

I sometimes wonder. Is Yoshi-Hashi aware of how much of a joke he's seen as? We know Gedo is, since he booked the whole thing with Tanahashi doing the whole "I should get you away from Okada... you know what? Never mind, you're not worth it." act.
And it seems like in every match, he's got this wide-eyed "What the hell am I even doing here?" look.
Also : Did he legitimately hurt himself earlier in the tournament, when his one leg slipped out the wrong way as he was going down?

Yea, agreed I been wanting that team this year to give Okada something to do and to redeem his boy and show them how valuable Yoshi Hashi is. Of course I still want my Goto/Ishii f*** people up tag team I been preaching for the last two years

I keep forgetting how good Naito is. Agreed 2018 was a waste for him after 2017 was one of the best years anyone could have. He spent all 2018 feuding off and on with Jericho in a nothing/time wasting feud. Once 2019 came back around he had the spark back. He's losing half a step due to injuries finally starting to catch up but that's not really a problem since he's still really good and can turn it up when he wants. Felt like this year was going to be his year to finally get everything he wanted to do out the way before sliding officially into the Nakamura role. He most likely will still get half the things he wanted done but as I said at WK, at this point with Naito it is icing on the cake. His journey is over and completed and now it is about legacy and goals.

Hiromu vs Okada is going to be an absolute banger and SANADA and Evil always deliver. I think my preferred final is Hiromu/SANADA but I’d be fine with any result.

Just a reminder that tomorrow's show is free to watch. Even if you're not a member you can still watch the semi finals

I can see EVIL going over SANADA because EVIL's got the more interesting hook of having a really nasty streak in this tournament. They'll have already set up the VTR juxtaposing him carrying Hiromu's jacket while he was injured with him beating the shit out SANADA for a chance to take own Naito.

lmao I will crack up if Gedo just goes with Okada/SANADA IX or something in the finals. That screams a tired ***1/4 match.

I really wanted Taichi to make it further than he did. What's the point of having him beat Ibushi and Tanahashi, if he's going to lose to SANADA and his ridiculous Ryuji Sakamoto haircut?

Considering they've really invested in Sanada, I could see him going over Okada in the finals. But I also wouldn't put it past them to do the Okada/Naito rematch since it's a safe big show match, and you have the added story of both guys not being 100% back when they wrestled at WK. Gun to my head, it's Sanada winning, but I won't be surprised either way... unless the finals is a weird Takahasi/Evil match up. That'd be... something, I guess.

They generally don't "waste" Okada vs Naito tho. They don't even meet in the G1. It is basically WK or nothing and since they just did WK, I don't think they will re up on it again It is a safe bet sure but those two still got money in a singles match with fans at some point.
