Yes! Some of the matches don't look too exciting, but I'm glad to have NJPW back! And ZSJ vs Ibushi sounds awesome. They've probably faced each other before, but I personally didn't see it. Honestly, at this point they've made it an annual tournament match, whether in the NJ Cup or in the G1. ...And it's awesome each time, they keep pairing them because they've got amazing chemistry. ZSJ even tweeted Ibushi after one match saying "we made the right choice" regarding neither of them signing with WWE during the Cruiserweight tournament and both ending up in NJPW.

Though...what if Gedo did something ultra nefarious and cheated to beat Okada, only to back up directly into Minoru Suzuki? I'd want to see that for the GIF-worthy reaction alone. Gedo's going to cheat like a weasel, but he's not the type to book himself over his cash cow. I see this like Bobby Heenan fighting Greg Gagne, where he can briefly get the heat but mostly gets beat up and cowers. I will be shocked if Okada does his clean-break spot here.

It'll be like their match in 2018 where Gedo walked to the ring with his arm in a sling and in crutches claiming he can't wrestle but has faked it the whole time.

I hope they will offer English commentary for some of these events. Not a requirement, but makes following the action easier. Kevin Kelly lives in Japan now so he'll likely do the shows.

Hiromu vs. Yano or I set up my imaginary table and flip it.

Hoping they have a high profile title match at some point; their styles compliment each other so well, and the matches never get old. I hope they will offer English commentary for some of these events. Not a requirement, but makes following the action easier. Kevin Kelly lives in Japan now so he'll likely do the shows. Chris Charlton is around too (thinking he has a full-time NJPW office position now?), so that'll probably be the commentary team.

Yea, I got either Hiromu or Shingo winning this
They just missed out of Hiromu vs Naito before the Pandemic so they will probably run it back but they def want to start off hot and get Naito reign back on track

I wonder if there will be a title match on Monday's show, say a the Trios or Tag Titles being defended on it.

Based on the bracket, I'm going to guess a 10-man elimination tag (when was the last time they had one of those?) between CHAOS and Bullet Club, a 6-man with Tanahashi/Ibushi/Nagata vs. the Suzuki-Gun A-Team, Naito and Hiromu vs. the Dads, and a few Junior matches

Hiromu vs. Yano or I set up my imaginary table and flip it. I think Hiromu makes it to the quarterfinals in his bracket, which would be either facing Despy or Ishii, either match I'm good with. The first round only has a few really exciting matches, but the second round and later should have some gems for sure.

I love Hiromu, but man, I want this to be the year they strap the rocket to Shingo.

My far too early and far too confident pick to win it all: Shingo Since we got robbed of Hiromu vs Naito happening at March, I'd like Hiromu to win it. Just took a look at the brackets, I'd be willing to bet good money on Hiromu winning. It easily makes the most sense, this decides the Dominion challenger, I don't see them doing some shock out of left field winner here. Hiromu has a good story for it, it's a big enough match to make sense at Dominion, and it's too quick to go back to Okada.

Not saying I wouldn’t mind seeing this, but logistically Hiromu would have to beat Okada for it to happen. I don’t think that will happen.

Why can't Jay White travel? Hasn't New Zealand all but contained the virus?

Ehhh They were playing with fire early in trying to keep the Olympics alive but have since done a good job in keeping everything safe I remember seeing a lot more facemasks in the crowd than usual during New Beginning. I remember thinking then "Yeah, they'll probably do OK." It's a cultural thing, as has been mentioned. They messed up not responding with better testing like Taiwan and others did but, they knew what to do afterwards. But on topic, I really hope Despy goes far. I think he's the most underrated wrestler in NJPW.
