I have a vacation day from work today. Got the family up early and headed to the beach. We spent three hours swimming in the Pacific, digging sand castles, and running around on the beach. At noon a bunch of other people started showing up so we went home.

Cream cheese + ranch pack + chicken breast in the slow cooker turned into magic.

Chatting with a friend I haven't talked to in months. It's only text, but it's something.

I found the greatest porno scene ever filmed. It's called The Getaway and stars Bridgette B (who is my favorite porn star anyway) and Karma RX. And it actually has a decent/funny story and acting.

Cup of tea with a surprise chocolate digestive biscuit made me happy.

Learned today one of the few "dark sky communities" in the world is a couple hundred miles away from me. The Deep Eddy distillery is also there.
Think a day trip to break up this Groundhog Day existence is in the cards.

A day off work spent at the beach. Shortly after posting this I saw that a Depeche Mode gig was being streamed live on YouTube, thus making a good day even better.

My dumb dog and his expectation that he gets a walk around the neighborhood. Around 4PM every day now. It's hot most of the time, but around that time the heat wanes out, so we can walk with a nice breeze and the sun not shining down so much. Gotta wear a mask out, and going home I gotta wash myself and sanitize, which is a bit of a pain since around that time I'd really like a nap. But he's got a dumb smiling face and excitement when I go down wearing a mask when it's walk time that it becomes relaxing for me. He spins and jumps and excitement, making weird barking noises. And he smiles. Like he'd pant when it's hot out, but when it's walk time he pants but he has this happy look on his face and visible excitement.

That the therapist said that the clinic's medical department will be contacting me in the near future, and pending a blood test, I'll be approved to start HRT.

Got up early and decided to clean my room that was long overdue. It's nice having a clean workplace.

Seeing Otis on Dead Meat talking about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was pretty cool.

Leaving a family gathering (on my partner’s side) where I felt detached from it and was getting bored. It wasn't until I got older that I realised adults got bored at events like that too. I remember being dragged to a wedding reception at the age of about six and spending a good chunk of the time playing football with one of the guests. It wasn't until years later that I realised he was probably as bored by the whole thing as I was.

This will sound bad, but it was my (step)granddaughter’s sixth birthday, and we had a picnic (social distancing of course) in a park. Now, while I adore her I was ready to go home after a couple of hours. Three and a half hours later we finally left. At least it’s done for the year now.
