I put my out of office message on my work laptop and signed off for a week. Not only that, I have a more or less clear workload to return to.

I got myself a new computer as a Christmas present. My old one had been slowly dying for so long that I had forgotten how nice it is to just switch on, have everything work right away and continue to work until I switch it off again.

After upper management's astounding display of pettiness removing our early day literally half an hour before it was to go into effect, out team leader and department manager both told us they're not monitoring shit so if we work from home we can basically leave anyway. I'm still logged into my computer and answering emails but other than that I'm just listening to music and playing with my phone.

I looked in my back yard this afternoon and found….a dog. We don’t own a dog. It was a beautiful and friendly yellow lab. I got a leash from a neighbor and took him for a walk around the block. Knocked on the door of the people who live behind us (whose yard we have heard barking from ) “Are you missing a dog?” “No,” he said. “I have a dog like that but he is in the yard.” “Are you sure?” I asked It was his dog. We don’t know how it got over the five foot wall into our yard
In any case, I got to play with a doggy for a little while today.

My mom got me lottery tickets for Christmas and I just won ten bucks on one! Easily the most I’ve won on a scratch-off.

Saw the first episode of Witcher: Blood Origin. I have not laughed so much in quite some time.
Oh, I'm also moving back into my flat now I'm allowed to partially weight-bear on my foot, so no more Netflix for me. Back to Rings of Power, which in another happy note will probably look a lot better after watching what I just watched.

Remembering that I got some survey money right before Christmas that will cover New Years pizza without tipping my budget for January. Yay

Well it was yesterday. But finding out I'm getting a raise at work. 50 cent and hour more and I've only been there will be six months in January.

I "fixed" my Bluetooth headphones (JBL LIVE650BT). Something fried my tv's Bluetooth connection last week and my headphone's as well. They would start, but couldn't connect. Buttons didn't properly work. The factory reset didn't work either. The internet didn't have a solution. So I let the headphones battery deload over two days (takes quite some time when they don't play any sound), then recharged them and then the factory reset worked properly. The Bluetooth connection is back again and while I can't connect to the tv, I can connect to my computer's Bluetooth adapter. Not optimal, but much better then having to buy new headphones.
So if you have similar issues with your (JBL) headphones: Let them run out of energy and then recharge them. That might fix it.

So I still have Better Call Saul season 6 on my DVR, I haven't gotten around to watching it because the last few months have been pretty busy. My DVR is very funny when I get busy and forget or don't get around to clearing things off, it randomly deleted Better Call Saul season 6 episode 4 a week or so ago. Episodes 1 through 3 was still on there fine, but 4 just disappeared. I was thinking I'd have to buy it on Amazon Prime if they didn't have it on Netflix yet, but then today IFC had a Better Call Saul marathon. It didn't record ALL of it, because I have it set to only record new episodes... but it randomly recorded episode 4. So now I have it back. lol

Moving. And getting it over with.
The previous place we planned on going to caught fire so we went somewhere else and it actually was the better option due to how close it is to everything that we need, like groceries, clothes, meds, and bus service.

The long-ass process of procuring a new DVR from DirecTV has finally ended. It arrived yesterday and is now properly hooked up and activated. I can record stuff again.
