Well it happened yesterday, so give me a pass on waiting a day.
After about a month in the hospital I was able to get and go home. Went in 6/10, got out 7/6. What started out as a emergency appendix surgery turned into me getting Covid while in the hospital. You’ll talk to different people and they all have different symptoms. My oxygen levels were low and they had to treat me for that. Then I got blood clots.
All that said, I’m out of the hospital now. I have no stamina, but I’m home. My gf was a supportive person throughout and since she works at the hospital she made sure I was taken care of. Highlight of today is that I got to see my dog again and he’s just attached to me.
Physical recovery will take time, but I’m out of the hospital and home. Please take this virus serious. Ok enough of my rant.

My buddy decided to quit smoking herb cold turkey and gave me his entire stash.

Let my contributions lapse because things got real dark there for a minute. But, two days since drinking or getting high.
Also just had my first haircut since January. The risk is weighing on me but damn if I don't feel a lot better not having to push my bangs out of my eyes.

I work in a Government call centre and had someone phone up and ask for a prostitute, which was a first in the eight years I’ve been there (and believe me, I’ve had some bizarre calls).
I’ve also just had the British delicacy of fish (cod) and chips, which is a great way to begin the weekend.
Yesterday, if I can have it, I did 11km on my exercise bike (10 at pace, 1 to warm down) for the first time in ages, resulting in a pound and a bit lost overnight.

That feeling of warmth when you pull your blanket from the dryer. Even on a 110 degree day, it still feels good.

License renewed, interviewing for a promotion on Tuesday, and while it sucked having the new TV I ordered show up broken, the return was a breeze.

Along with a fellow dog walker, when I was out with my dog this morning we reunited an escaped dog with his owner.

I just played Pokemon TCG online for the last hour and it was the most fun I've had in a long time. Haven't really played that in 20 years but picked it up like I was still in my mall's old league.

The wife saw a couch on a resale site for $150. Since our old couch is trashed (I have 3 teenagers) we jumped at it. Seller said if we took it today she would cut the price to $100. 45 minutes later, I was at her house. Could only fit two of the three sections in my Suburban and she offered to take the third piece in her pickup truck. Wife was so happy it went well that we gave seller a bag of tomatoes and apricots from the garden as a thank you.
TL; DR - NEW COUCH!! WOO-HOO!!

I’ve just weeded the back garden and front drive, leaving me feeling accomplished and with the rest of the day to relax.

I had a very productive day: I ordered some new pants. I worked my ass off at work. I completed another story. I ordered some DVDs. I'm drying my last load of laundry, then it's off to bed. Been a good day.

I'm happy that this finally dropped today. I'm part of a Let's Play channel called Gear Check Games. Mostly it's my friends but I I'll make an appearance on as a guest for some games. I do this time for our play of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. First episode just dropped today and the MGS:TS episodes should be dropping every Tuesday and Thursday. We're also doing Metroid Prime every MWF, but I'm not in that one. Still worth checking out.

I bought 'em somewhere last year for my old PS2 and still haven't had ambition to play 'em. Even though I'm 100% sure I would love 'em...

MGS 2 is great even if the story at times gets a little bat shit crazy and there's some stuff in there you can really tell was trying to be revolutionary for 2001. I can almost do a whole podcast episode about MGS 2 because there's a lot to say about it. That game was ahead of its time. MGS 3 is one of the greatest games of all time and I'd highly recommend playing it. If you have the subsistence version (or HD remake) with the 3rd person camera, that turns a good game into a great game.
