I don't think he IS actually a flat earther. It seems like he just brought it up once and people started making fun of him and pretending he was.

Same here. Like, I can hear people's theories on UFOs and JFK, and even moon landings, and I can go, "Ok, I see what you're saying." But the flat Earth people are legitimately a special kind of stupid. The only level lower is the "Hollow Earth" theorists...of which one is Brian Kendrick. Hearing flat earthers call hollow earthers crazy is always a delight. No way. Flat earth is so much lamer. Like at least with Hollow Earth you can have all kinds of crazy sci-fi premises and what not and "what if" scenarios... Flat earth is literally a dead end. They are both equally as provably false but the conversation around flat earth is so boring.

Flat or globe, it doesn't matter, as long as you know the turtle holds it all up.

Isn’t this a religious/political thread that should be deleted since it’s against the rules? It’s my understanding that flat earth is a religious movement, and the problem with mocking people’s religions and beliefs like this on this forum is, it’s against the rules for them to defend themselves, so they have to sit there and take it. I feel like it’s unfair. Religion doesn't have a monopoly on stupid ideas.

I don't think he IS actually a flat earther. It seems like he just brought it up once and people started making fun of him and pretending he was. I swear he was on a podcast and the host brought it up, and he tried to change the topic as quickly as possible by saying "I just think it's an interesting theory" or something like that. Just remember, anytime someone says something like "I'm just asking questions", their ideas are almost certainly bullshit.

Like, after Bryan "outs" him as a flat Earther, AJ essentially goes "I'm not a flat Earther but I think there's something to it".

I feel like it’s unfair. I've never heard this before As far as I know, it’s not really. I’m not into it, let’s say I keep tabs on it. Now, there’s tons of religious people who do believe it, but from what I know, flat earth started as a “Say something so obviously ridiculous, no one could disagree and let’s see who disagrees”. Basically a troll move that turned into an actual thing. Mad Mike or whatever his name was who died not long ago latched himself to Flat Earth because they’d dish out the money he needed for his backyard rocketry. He knew what shape the Earth was. I read an interview with him and when asked why his launch plans accounted for a globe, because you have to to launch a rocket, offered some weak “that’s rocket science, doesn’t mean anything” explanation

Like he thinks it's interesting cos he watched or read something and then was like "Did you see that video about the earth being flat? Pretty crazy stu.." "OH MAN AJ IS A FLAT EARTHER EVERYBODY! GATHER ROUND!" and it spiralled into an inside joke haha. Then again maybe he does believe it and he's just embarrassed to talk about it now!

I still haven't recovered from learning that some people think Australia is made up and people who claim to be from there are actors. That one is true. That is the dumbest conspiracy I’ve ever heard of. *counts Australian acting gig money*

Not sure how much mileage you can get out of a Flat earther gimic but I’d like to see it. Refuses to hold any title belt because they are round. Commissions a belt that’s flat and square.

I feel like it’s unfair. While it has been incorporated into some smaller religious sects, the flat-earth concept and following is not exclusive to it by any means. I am not a flat earther but I consider myself to be pretty open minded when it comes to these conspiracy theories and I've seen some interesting arguments for it. The biggest one being that "The earth is round but its not a globe. Its like a flat circular plate. " So, a flat earth, then?

The biggest one being that "The earth is round but its not a globe. Its like a flat circular plate. " So, a flat earth, then? Its a different theory to the usual "The earth is a long sphere and absolutely none of it is round". It also debunks the whole "Well Where's the edge then?" theory. Like I said, I wouldn't say I'm a believer but I'm open minded to have a discussion about it. There has been times where I'm sitting at home at 4am and I'll find myself looking at videos relating to this kind of stuff and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't intriguing. Anyway, I'm gonna bow out of this thread and leave it there. If anyone wants to have a civil conversation, my PMs are open.

The Earth is not flat. The giant, sentient pumpkin that is its core told me so.
