I would say "good thing he didn't win the ROH title", and yeah, but I guess it's not like he didn't win other titles, so, whaddya gonna do?
In any case, can't say I disagree with ROH's decision to get rid of him. I am curious who will be in charge of booking. I do kinda hope it's not just Delirious again, since he needs, at best, a break, or someone else needs a chance.

I remember people saying ROH was looking better since Scurll got the booker position but of course nothing would save them of what he did. And money wasnt just because of the booking position but he was their biggest draw and a bridge to AEW All that also went to shit. Yea, it was a gamble worth taking He was the biggest free agent on the market but he did not need his friends in AEW to be over. Giving him the book and allowing his connections to help ROH was all around a good move Then he got outed as a creep and it all went to shit. The investment before all this was smart but they have to cut their losses once this shit came to light I can't blame them either for signing him to the deal he did. Would I have given him the book? Probably not but then I'm not a billion-dollar media conglomerate like Sinclair are so I don't know what the budget they gave ROH to be able to make that sort of offer was. And I also can't blame them for axing him either. Like, as a Brit, I can say all I want about it being technically legal at the time but even from people in the UK, it was seen as creepy because that isn't really what that law was designed for.

Well Scurll pretty much got the Benoit treatment.
What about promoting Gresham to be the head booker besides being in charge of the women division?

Doesn't mean he's for sure gone, I guess, but I imagine that means he isn't going to be full-time associated with the company anymore.

Bully's contract expired months ago. he's completely gone. the one thing that really sucks about it though is they were in the middle of an angle where if anybody could beat him he would "quit" ROH. they'd been pushing Eli Isom and set him up to be the one to send him packing, but then the shutdown happened so Eli's not going to get his big win

I'm not condoning what Scurll did by any means but what Scurll did is technically legal. I'm not saying he should keep his job, what I'm saying is Scurll getting fired while Velveteen Dream is still employed by the biggest wrestling company on the planet as WWE turns a blind eye to repeated accusations is disgusting. It pays to be a HHH project. Word to Sin Cara.

Has Marty actually addressed this? I don't remember hearing him say anything at the time. Seems he's just vanished.

nothing official has been put out, but it looks like Marty is gone from ROH. they've update the roster page on their website, and while Bully Ray and Jeff Cobb have been moved from "Active" to the "Alumni" section, Marty's profile has been outright deleted. furthermore all Marty Scurll and Villain Enterprises merch has been pulled from their online store Great! Briscoes next please.

If ROH have genuinely fired him as opposed to him walking or them paying off the remainder of his contract I'm still genuinely surprised that they had grounds to. Whatever shaky ground this fell on morally surely he can't be fired when he hasn't broken any laws? I don't think we've seen the last of Marty, but in the modern wrestling landscape it is hard to see where he fits after all this.

As pointed out before, American law is very different where the only grounds you can’t fire someone on is discrimination. Doesn’t mean employers likely haven’t used another excuse to hide that, mind you, but in this case, they probably have grounds to unless they signed a deal Joey Ryan alleges to have had with Impact.

Color me cynical, but have we heard anything official about Scurll being gone yet? It's a sign of good faith for ROH to wipe away Scurll related things, but until we hear otherwise...ya know...? It reminds me of IWA-MS. The company was supposedly sold after Ian caught a lot of flack after JC Baily passed. Ian "sold" the company but still was booker, etc. secretly behind the scenes.

So people were asking what was going on with this and, well...
Going to go ahead and say this wasn’t exactly amicable.
