Eh, I dunno if I like Crash being borderline mute. Give him his Aussie voice from Skylanders back. Cool Tawna redesign though. Hasn't he always been borderline mute in the games though? Yep

Love the Tawna redesign, and it's nice to finally see her playable in a non-kart based setting. {Spoiler}Looking at the dialogue in that cutscene and how often they emphasised the alternate aspect in the commentary, 99.9% certain that the big twist will be that she's not an AU Tawna but actually the one from this dimension.

Noticed instead of a lives system, there's a deaths counter.

Hasn't he always been borderline mute in the games though? Yep Oh I’ve always known him to be mostly nonverbal, I just personally prefer him to speak. Even if it is a Steve Irwin voice.

I don’t care for the Tawna redesign, she looks so out of place. They obviously couldn’t go for the more cartoony sexualized look of the original but giving her a more realistic body type makes her look like a real woman in furry makeup compared to the obvious cartoon designs of Crash, Coco, and Cortex.

Playing the demo since I pre-ordered the game... F*** me drunk, was it always this hard or am I just rusty? I died like 20 times trying to do the snow level.

I love how you only get the demo if you pre-order the game
........I think you got confused Activision. You put out a demo so people will order the game not the other way around

Just played through the demo for the second time. This is really good. The controls take some getting used to as they’re pretty rigid at first, but now that I have a better grasp on them I would say this is pretty much everything a Crash sequel should be. Also, the masks are a great idea, don’t feel gimmicky, and add the right amount of challenge to people that want to %100 each level.

OK, I’ve played through a few levels... Great stuff, but it’s gonna make you work to get the 100% completion score.

Really excited about this, I grew up playing Crash and have just gotten back into video games. I'm gonna get the remastered version of the old games first!

OK, I’ve played through a few levels... Great stuff, but it’s gonna make you work to get the 100% completion score. With the early levels, it really has nailed that feeling of easy to complete, but difficult to master. (And I am ashamed of how many times it took me to do the timing-based puzzle to get all the crates in the second level.) Tying the extra skins into the 100% completion of a level is a great idea too, and so much better than the microtransaction route. {Spoiler}The flashback tape idea is such a good one, a nice take on the really intricate bouncing puzzles of the original game's Cortex bonus levels, just with a bit of lore mixed in.
Also, I like that CTR is getting kind of worked into the series as a whole, with the worlds definitely taking a bit of a cue from it. Second world is very Rustland inspired, and while pirates are nothing new to the series, the third has big Crash Cove vibes.

I can already tell this game is going to break me. There’s a trophy for getting all the perfect relics, which are given when you break all the boxes in a level and don’t die.

This game is hard.
And that is an understatement.

{Spoiler} Cortex Castle and Seeing Double decided they would try their hand at a Kaizo Mario section at the very end.
This game feasts on your suffering.

This game is hard. And that is an understatement. Hard as the original Crash Bandicoot in your opinion?
