I think Sammy Guevra is a moron... and I am probally going to get heat for saying this. But if he wasn't an indy darling.. People would be wanting off with his head rather sasha talked to him or not.... If tony Khan is going to ban hogan he should ban Sammy to.

Glad to see this one end well. If Sammy's been honest about becoming a better person since his early 20s, then this should be the end of the drama. Here's hoping.

so he just happened to be searching his own name and accidentally like one of the tweets supporting him.........yep what a accident Alternative theory: Guy wakes up to find there's a huge fire storm surrounding him and his name. He sees that he's trending on twitter looks it up, and then swiping through quickly on his phone (as one would expect someone to do when their name is being associated with a topic like this) happens to inadvertently like said tweet. Touch screens are really sensitive. He wouldn't have even really had to search dude. He's apologized, he spoke with the victim of his comments who seems to fully believe that he has matured since then and doesn't seem to hold a grudge over it. If it's good enough for Sasha Banks, then it's good enough for me.

How this was handled should be the model for how any of these other allegations should be handled in the future. Apologize both public and privately without reservations.
That being said Sammy didn't actually physically harm Sasha Banks and wasn't in the same room as her when he made the statement which made this "easier". In most of the other cases we've been talking about this sort of format would be impossible to emulate, particularly when the victim isn't actually looking for an apology and just justice.

Sasha just saved this boy's career. I've been critical of her in the past, but she handled that with more grace than a lot of people might have. Big props to her

I think we have to give Sasha credit for how well she handled that, I've seen veterans who have been wrestling since before Sasha was born handle things more minor than that with less grace and tact. I just hope that Sammy won't constantly get it in the neck from now on considering that Sasha and him have smoothed things out.

I've never listened to it before, but apparently this "Whole F'N Show" podcast is like a really tryhard show where people are encouraged to be as edgelordy and disgusting as possible.

We can debate the what ifs all day. As far as where did she say she accepted it, she didn't, but its implicit in the way she responded to it. She is not pushing for further consequences. Rather she's just coming out of this with the hope, and seemingly the belief that Sammy has learned his lesson. She's trying to put this business behind her with the understanding that his comments were made 4 years ago, and that he's grown up since then. Secondly, they didn't do anything wrong in their handling of the Jimmy Havoc thing. They put an unwell man through rehab, which will help to give him coping skills to curb that type of behavior in the future, and never gave him any guarantee that he'd be employed after he'd completed rehab. After all you can't fire somebody while in rehab. Or would you rather they just send an abuser out there who still has all the same failings enumerated in the stories about him, with no progress made towards fixing them? After all most people don't know who he is, so him being outed means nothing to anybody who is not a wrestling fan. You have no evidence that AEW won't have consequences for Jimmy Havoc after rehab (or Sammy Guevara when the time comes to address it), so basically you're just assuming guilt before AEW has actually done something wrong. AEW sending Jimmy Havoc to rehab, is potentially a solution to the actual problem. What you're saying comes off more as you'd just rather not hear about it than wanting an actual solution.

This whole thing just reminds me of xbox live. This is really the first time I can remember this happening, but it definitely won't be the last. Over the next five years we'll be dealing with a generation that grew up with mass media, with everything being online and a lot of it being recorded, but also before the current cultural context, back when being edgy was a big thing and you just said shocking, vulgar things under the delusion that you weren't "actually" a bigoted, bad person. This is the test run for every kid that ever called you the f-word playing Call of Duty.
