More or less like HH, your three favorite songs for me was the three songs I was most confident at. Like, for most part, they were songs I really wanted to use before this current season of FAN Idol even began. Got a few of them still waiting to be used. In any case, for those songs, it just happened that the theme for the round qualified them to be used. Also, for the Narrow Way, here's a cover of it. May have used it if the theme was different. I liked it because the male and female parts were sung by the same person for the cover of the song.

It's funny the song I thought was going to do the worst, actually did the best.

Apologies for the wait. Just need one more judge to get scores in.

And here are the results of the first Sing-off. At the end of this, we will go from 15 to 12. Team Square members Futureraven: Beelzebruv and BrodietheSlayer, we start with you. For this round I tasked you with finding first recordings, songs about famous people, and songs from one of my favorite genres and one that very rarely gets dipped into here, DEATH METAL. And surprise: SQUARE IS BACK. Let's start with the first recordings. Futureraven went to Oasis's first album for "Supersonic," while BTS dug deep to find a recording of the Jackson 5 covering James Brown's "I Got The Feeling." Whose early work scores first? {Spoiler}"Supersonic" by Oasis! Futureraven is up 1-0. For the song about famous people, Futureraven went with "When Bill Hicks Died" by Charlie Dore, while BTS went the autobiographical route with Billy Joel's "The Entertainer." Whose story emerged victorious in the Sing-off? {Spoiler}"The Entertainer" by Billy Joel! It comes down to death metal.... For death metal, Futureraven went with a very murky death/doom track in "Thresholds Beyond" by Spectral Voice, while BTS went with a genre classic from a genre legend: "God Of Emptiness" by Morbid Angel. What song crushed through to earn a spot in the 12? {Spoiler}"Thresholds Beyond" by Spectral Voice! Futureraven wins the Team Square Sing-off!
BTS, you put forth a phenomenal effort in this season and hopefully you get the chance to try again next time. On to Team Tyger members DASH 243✅ and Clash, Never a Meter Maid. Tyger was searching for 5+ minute songs with tempo or mood changes, sub-genres or sub-scenes, and live tracks. Now we see what you delivered. For the 5+ minute tunes, Clash went to the Peter Gabriel-era period of Genesis for "Watcher Of The Skies," while DASH picked Pantera's classic "Cemetery Gates." Whose switches switched on a point? {Spoiler}"Watcher Of The Skies" by Genesis! Clash is up 1-0! For the sub- songs, Clash went southern rap with "Awnaw" by Nappy Roots, while DASH chose to go indie rock with "Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" by Father John Misty. What song won the battle of the sub-s? {Spoiler}"Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings" by Father John Misty! With another tie, it all comes down to the live cuts.... For the live cuts, Clash went with a monster in "Prime Time of Your Life/Brainwasher/Rollin' and Scratchin'/Alive (Live)" by Daft Punk, while DASH chose "California (Hustle And Flow) (Live)" by the famed Social Distortion. Whose live cut keeps the picker alive to see the next set of rounds? {Spoiler}"Prime Time of Your Life/Brainwasher/Rollin' and Scratchin'/Alive (Live)" by Daft Punk! Clash moves on as the winner of the Team Tyger Sing-off!
DASH, you really brought it big time and hopefully next season will bring even better luck for you. And finally, Team Zack Morris members fw91 and suave. You had to look for songs from people who went solo, cover songs, and 80s songs. For solo tracks, fw91 took "Work Is For Suckers" by Kay Hanley, while suave went with "My Block" by Scarface. What song gets the sole honor of earning the first point? {Spoiler}"My Block" by Scarface! suave is up 1-0! For songs from the 80s, fw91 selected "Goo Goo Muck" by psychobilly/garage punk legends The Cramps, while suave selected a song that came back into popularity thanks to last year's Stanley Cup Champions, the St. Louis Blues: "Gloria" by Laura Branigan. Which 80s number held up today? {Spoiler}"Goo Goo Muck" by The Cramps! With yet another tie, we go to the last pair.... For cover songs, fw91 took a John Lennon cover in "Gimme Some Truth" by Generation X, while suave picked a brass rendition of "Stand By Me" by Lucky Chops. What cover covered a passage to the next rounds? {Spoiler}"Stand By Me" by Lucky Chops! Congratulations, suave, you will advance as the Team Zack Morris Sing-off survivor!
fw91, I know you didn't have the best view on your performance this season, but speaking not just as the host but also as someone who has been involved with a ton of F.A.N. Idol/Voice competitions, you did a very fine job. I for one would love to see you return next season. Used song list will be updated tomorrow and the next round theme will be announced as well.

Obviously I’m very disappointed and you could say pissed off. I really thought most of my songs this game were top notch stuff, and I had others back me up on that. But putting aside all of that, I gotta say having this game return was like a breath of fresh air for me on this forum. Over the past year or so, I’ve debated deleting my account due to an unpleasant interactions with a couple of posters on the WWE section. I felt that words were being thrown into my mouth and somehow an unfair narrative was written against me. To put it shortly, I get that I somehow overstated my welcome here, (I’ve suddenly been here longer than I’d like to admit) but interacting with a lot of you again after a long while reminds me why I love this place. Special thanks to Gus for stepping up to host this. Yes, I’ll admit the pace has been rather slow, but I know how thankless running these games are as I served as a judge multiple times. Yeah I could argue that the format and losing a judge that would have likely scored me higher worked against me, (PRODUCTION INTERFERENCE, I heard you guys gave Roxie three immunity idols) but You have to respect the way the game is structured. Off to the edge of extinction I go. That’s a thing right?
P.S. Zack, I’m still running away from home.

I'm sad to see you go; it is a weird feeling voting one of your own out of the game. Especially when you had so many good song choices throughout. Run away, run away from the pain.

Although, I think Goo Goo Muck qualifies as a cover too...,
