you don't like to see anyone get hurt, but some time off would do her some good. How I feel. She been overbooked and that had to taken its toll on her. Plus from a fans point of view, a break from her will do us good since she not going to be shoved down our throats. As good of an in ring worker. It becoming harder to enjoy it when she overbooked like she has been.

Everyone should have a break every so often, injured or not. Better for them and better for cmopany morale. Orton always seems reenergised after his breaks and people are happier to see him.

Maybe running Charlotte ragged by having her bounce around every show and be in a major spot in every division wasn't good for her overall physical state and was running an increasing risk she'd be working hurt. I believe it’s elective surgery. Is there a source on that? Because the article says it's unclear what kind of surgery or why, but includes the phrases 'legitimate need for surgery' and 'run-down from the rigours of WWE’s schedule over the last few years'.

Not to come off like a jerk as she can do what she wants it's her business but with the wording and them saying elective and being so vague of what it's for does anyone else get the impression the surgery is for something not related to injury. I know that's something that wouldn't put you out for six or seven months but I could see her getting what she wanted done and while at it wanted to take even more time off afterwards. She has been going really hard for pretty much five years straight at this point without really any breaks other then maybe a month off here and there, so her being worn out and wanting a long break is completely understandable.

Heal up and get better
They been running her like crazy and she probably needs the break anyway for 2 months or so assuming it doesn't go longer. She's out for the rest of the summer if anything and can come back fresh with a renewed focus
Whether you like her or not, she is without question one of the hardest working women in the business so hopefully this time off does her well

I smelled something like this as soon as Asuka went over Charlotte on Monday, because they were clearly building to Charlotte having Asuka's number as something a bit more substantial than Asuka getting a win on a random Raw.

Yea, it seemed like they were building to Asuka and Charlotte for Summerslam with Nia being the middle woman but it seems like once Charlotte knew she had to have surgery they pivot and gave her the win while also giving Nia some heat Now you still need another opponent for Asuka which is where Shayna should step in but they seem to be filling that void with Sasha for now

This better f***ing lead to Bianca coming back to Raw. Ideally, they'd be building her up right now Get her on TV and in some squash matches. At the very least she should be with the Street Profits getting her character over. Shayna or Bianca should be one of the ones to take the title off Asuka

Yea, that's what I meant for now I expect either they do something like a tag match with Kabuki Warriors vs Sasha/Bayley at Summerslam or as said they finally go Sasha/Bayley and most like Asuka gets Shayna or maybe even Bianca

Indeed. Speaking as a fan, I personally felt she'd been doing some of her best work over the last few months despite the very challenging circumstances of empty arenas, with that phenomenal match at Mania with Rhea and a lot of other strong work besides, even on the mic--she was great on Raw Talk last week, and her SDL promo finally got the Sasha/Bayley story moving again after a long break. At the same time though, there's all this built-up resentment from fans that meant it couldn't be appreciated--as has been seen even here, it got to the point that some fans literally refuse to watch anything she's in. The way she was used I think was used to put others over more than it appeared, even something as simple as how the 'mystery partner' NXT tag ended up being more of a showcase on Chelsea Green, how she never beat Io clean, or how her brief SDL run put Bayley over, or how her matches with Liv Morgan and Mia Yim were presented as competitive, or how even her use on Raw simultaneously put Asuka and Nia over. Yet it more broadly just got seen as 'overpushed, overexposed'. Even moments that smarks dreamed of (like Io becoming NXT Woman's Champion) got overshadowed by anger at Charlotte over the way they booked the finish--I personally thought Io taking advantage of the situation was clever and added to the recent trend of the Figure 8 spelling doom for her in multi-woman matches, all the way back to Rhea pinning her out of it in November last year, but that's not how it got widely read. Charlotte's talked in interviews recently about feeling that due to her consistency over the last six years that fans have never really had a chance to miss her like they've missed other people, and hopefully this longer break will achieve that, because its frustrating having virtually everything she does getting read in a similar way to how Roman Reigns was judged between 2015-2018.

Having Charlotte do all three brands was pointless, and it only served to get her hurt. Good job on that front WWE, now the two top booked girls are out for the rest of the year, maybe even longer.
I'm glad Asuka beat her on the way out then, but this does leave a bad taste in my mouth over her NXT run. Maybe she wasn't hurt at that point, but the fact she just f***ing buried Rhea, took the title, and then lost it without getting pinned will never make sense to be as a payoff to "Help the future stars", that was some HHH level shit and it's just gonna bother me for awhile.
Charlotte needed time off, I wish it wasn't her getting legit hurt that did it, but she NEEDED it. Now I hope RAW remembers they have Shayna and Bianca on their roster soon... they're sorely needed
I hope Charlotte has a speedy recovery, I have major issues with her booking, but she is a workhorse, no doubt about it, whether she wanted to be or not...

I know they won't...
But I'm thinking after Charlotte comes back, to ease her back into things, they should put her in a tag team for a bit. Story wise you can note that she's not yet won the Tag Titles.
Not sure who her partner could be though (were this about a year ago Charlotte/Lacey could have been an option).
