From the sounds of things, seems like he has the same problem as Jimmy Havoc with this mental abuse and bringing people down. If that's the case then he needs to be sent to rehab too and reevaluated upon his completion

Is being a bad partner to someone worth losing your livelihood over? If physical/sexual abuse comes into play, obviously, yes. But when it comes to just emotional stuff...I’m not sure.

I say this as someone who had a college girlfriend who was emotionally abusive. She said some disgusting things to me. She manipulated me in many ways. Any independent party would agree what she did was terrible. But does she deserve to lose her job? Does she deserve to be publicly outed and shamed because she was a terrible partner when we were 21 and 22 years old?

I don’t know. I don’t think so? I really had a hard time getting through it. But I did. And two years ago I saw her at a friend’s wedding. We were cordial. She seems to have matured and made herself better in the six years since we dated. Should I be able to ruin her career and livelihood for not being a fully mature person at that age?

This is what I’m struggling with during all this speaking out. Some stuff is so cut and dry terrible, yes, they deserve to lose everything. Other stuff, in my opinion, like this, is a lot harder. I’m genuinely curious. So I will sit back and listen, because that’s how anyone learns.

If the line is drawn at a shitty relationship, then I doubt Darby is going to get into any issues here aside from possibly counseling/therapy/rehab. If it goes beyond that in any provable fashion and not "You know what I mean" from a second party source, then Darby might be in the same boat as Havoc. But there's just implication and no evidence, if it stays that way then I don't see anything happening.   

I would hope, Darby just needs some help if anything from this, again he's with Kelly now, I'm pretty sure they're engaged or are married now? I can believe Darby being a shithead in his late teens/early 20's and growing up in a sense, otherwise I don't know how Kelly would be his wife. 

In the end we'll see what happens from here. If this expands any further or ends here, I don't know, but I'm sure AEW is aware of these posts and will investigate

See that's the thing, it is not always just physical and sexual abuse that is dangerous. Mental abuse is highly dangerous and has people thinking dangerous thoughts such as their worth meaning nothing and can even get as low as considering suicide

What you feel is not the way someone else will. People learn and grow but your mistakes of the past can and sometimes will haunt you. So to answer your question, mentally abusing someone is worth losing your livelihood over because you never know how long that traumatic stress lasted past this relationship and what it did to their daily lives

Allin is their future, someone they were looking to build the brand around possibly for the next decade. He was white hot over, insanely popular with their fanbase, this would hurt badly. 

Not saying they wouldn't be justified in taking action especially if this turns out to be worse than reported and more comes out, but just stating the facts here, AEW losing a Jimmy Havoc wouldn't hurt as bad, losing a Darby Allin would be much worse.

Let's hope it doesn't get that bad.

AEW can't worry about future events that haven't happen yet. As that allegation reads, at the very least he put someone through mental abuse and he's been open about his own problems in the past. This could be something in his past coming back to haunt him 

They need to talk to him and if true, he's going to rehab just like Jimmy. Who you (meaning AEW themselves) likes shouldn't matter when it comes down to this. They have to be neutral to all their talent when it comes to allegations whether they be young or old, big time or small time etc...

This will all play itself out but nothing can be dismissed especially for someone who spoke of having his own demons in the past. They have to do their due diligence and take the allegations seriously by investigating the claims and going from there

Without a doubt, if he were to be suspended, at least unlike Guevara he's doing nothing right now, honestly the storyline has been he's been unable to be cleared since Cage throttled him.

I think you see AEW investigate and go from there. With Jimmy Havok not only was it allegations but also the incident with Excalibur that pushed him to rehab so there was that. With Sammy everything was recorded.

If more info comes out like happened to Jimmy? It will get addressed in a similar manner. Same with if more allegations come out.

100% this is what I was trying to say before 

People let their own personal feelings cloud their judgment when you should be looking at this from a wider perspective. This has nothing to do with you. When she wrote in the letter you know what I mean, that wasn't meant for you, that was meant for Darby

It is easy to play favorites but that's a dangerous road knowing that you'll overlook an act because you like them. Essentially samething HHH is going to answer for now because of the stuff with Demott he overlooked or Vince not doing anything to Austin when he was putting his hands on Debra

Yeah this too is wrong. I tend to believe you give thr victim the benefit of the doubt until they prove they don't deserve it. Now obviously based on some wrestlers reputations and what ive seen online and in person ill have more of an opinion but I dont want to call someone a liar.

There's also the hope that if true someone has changed. Obviously they still should be ridiculed for acts they've committed but rhere is the hope that people learn and are different

If you're talking about me I'm just being honest about how I feel. I wish so many wrestlers I like were not being outed as douchebags at best criminals at worse, but I respect people's right to out them as such. I've never defended nor will I ever defend someone who has abused others. Also, if he did indeed sexually abuse anyone he should be gone, regardless of his work ethic. However, I'm not going to lie by saying I was never a fan of Darby if he is guilty (same goes for Bill Cosby, I loved his work before I knew the horrible truth), doing so would be intellectually dishonest.

He needs to - and probably will be - suspended ASAP. This is probably - just - on the verge of what someone can come back from if there's genuine contrition displayed and they're severely punished, but they're going to need to give serious thought to cutting him. If anything else comes out, and it probably will, then he'll be cut. Sucks for AEW to lose a top prospect like that, but he hasn't been seen in weeks or had a prominent storyline since the pandemic, so they'll recover just fine.
