What a news it would be if AEW was cancelled in '20. I bet people would miss it!

I'd imagine TNT would have zero issues. Once the NBA starts, it's likely Dynamite will get bumped temporarily anyway if the plan is indeed to air all the games on ESPN/ABC/TNT. Do a couple loaded days of tapings, let everyone go home, and hope things ease up a bit down in Florida once you need more shows. TNT airs NBA on Tues and Thurs Tho them and NXT would have to go head to head against NBA on ESPN on Wed Going to depend how they decide to air these games. There will be three going on once, and there was talk that the 2 weeks of seeding games would all be aired nationally (though blacked out in a team's local market when they played). ESPN/ABC & Turner would also be adding additional nights to compensate for the games they had rights to, but lost when they were postponed. It's possible they keep their normal nights, but it's also possible Turner is given extra nights to make up for the 8 nights they lost from the final month of the season to make good on their deal with the NBA.

That would require reconstructing of the contracts Big time games always goes to ABC/ESPN/Turner. NBA TV gets the lesser games but those shown usually like on a Tues/Friday etc with a diff crew with some Turner affiliates AEW will have to worry come the playoffs start. That's when the days go out the window since Turner has the rights to the Western Conference finals.

Considering most of Khan's money is probably actually tied up in investments at any given time like most rich people, I'd assume his liquid capital is much thinner than usual right now.

Considering most of Khan's money is probably actually tied up in investments at any given time like most rich people, I'd assume his liquid capital is much thinner than usual right now. The thing is, IF there was money issues. They would be releasing talent from contracts. Instead they been hiring them, See FTR, Starks, and Cage. What they need to do is a bulk taping A month or more with the roster being mostly in town. After July 2nd is done. Do that and get out of Florida for a while and hope things calms down. By the time the next set of taping in needed. Other wise in that period, look for a plan B in a less effected state to do another set of taping under the same protocols they have been using since they had no cases so far, so it been working until Mox got into contact with Renee under the WWE's watch but as of this writing hasn't be said to gotten it. GA worked but the state isn't much better, which is why I say bulk, go home for a while. Look for other places to do shows in a less effected area. Hell Vegas is less risky right now, I'm sure you could find a studio or something to do tapings there if need be.

In this technological age you could easily have wrestlers doing taped promos at home.
And do they not have enough talent to avoid any single wrestler wrestling too often?

Plus it's a great opportunity to help get some characters over. "A Day with Orange Cassidy" where it's just him being... him, and it's somehow hilarious and awesome. Luchasaurus giving a lecture on medeival literature Moxley training his raccoon army. The options are limitless!

Back when they were taping in bulk a little more, wasn't the story that they were actually making a little money? That the reduction in operating costs was helping out? They should just go back to taping a month or two at a time. They'll have enough in the bag to keep TNT happy and I don't think that being live versus being taped makes any difference to ratings at the moment. Either way, spoilers aren't getting out. If the worst happens and Florida does shut down or becomes unworkable, then at least they'll have a few weeks breathing space to figure something out.

That's actually what MLW's been doing with Pulp Fusion since the Mexico tapings ended, so that could work.

Like...dawg. If you ain't the US rn, the story is that we didn't really get out of the first wave. Shit is about to get closed again pretty soon in several states, if for no other reason than hospital availability is gonna demand it. This might be an L they are gonna have to eat. I said this before but a lot of places are gonna be in real rough financial shape after crowds start appearing again. Wrestling was vulnerable due to the independent contractor nature that's been propped up by WWE and it's gonna get rocked. Bad. Like, worse than it already has been. Sucks but so has this whole pandemic.

The Bucks, SCU, Cutler, Avalon, and more basically ran a couple weeks of story lines on BTE in Nicks backyard not too long ago....

Sucks but so has this whole pandemic. Only exceptions are New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts... for now. That's why this little coalition in the Northeast has been so adamant about quarantining anyone for two weeks that comes from a dangerous state like Texas, Florida, or Arizona. Of course, our four states were among the first to get the virus, but we also did everything right we could and have had a slow, yet steady process of phased re-openings. April and May were really bad here and that's with even all the safeguards being taken. But we've mostly contained the virus and fewer and fewer new positives, hospitalizations, and deaths are being reported daily.
But yeah, these four states are the exceptions to the rule. Unfortunately, a perfect storm of selfishness, malice, and ignorance has f***ed over the rest of the country.

We can toss Rhode Island in there, too...I know, Massachusetts will just say "eh, they don't count, they're basically part of us", but no other state has as high a testing rate, and RI's current positive results rate is down around 1%, compared with the 5-6% national average (and much higher numbers in the current hot spot states).
