Yeah, I swear the whole new decade doesn't start until the year 1 thing didn't begin until this decade change. As others have said, no one said when they reached 1990 'we'll be in the nineties next year' and we certainly weren't celebrating the turn of the 21st Century on the 1st January 2001. Just people trying to be awkward for the sake of awkwardness.

I've never understood why Jerry says "late" there instead of "early." He was pointing out that the party should have been held on Dec. 31, 2000, not Dec. 31, 1999 like Newman thought.

I was under the impression that Newman wrongly believed Dec. 31, 1999 was the millennium new year, booked his party for that date, and Jerry was letting him know about it, in which case he should have said "one year early."

Maybe, although if that's the case, the hotel actually booked Newman's party for the right date and everyone else who held their party a year earlier was wrong.

Technically, but since all the cool kids were having their parties on Dec 31 1999. Having your party on the actual millennium would be as Jerry put it "quite lame"

It is astounding how much Bill Goldberg got out of a look and the two wrestling moves he does well.
If you ever wondered why every other mediocre big guy gets a winning streak, this is why.

When Roman Reigns is ready to come back into ring, they want to do that Goldberg vs. Romey match...
Don't count out Goldberg from the title hunt! Maybe at next WrestleMania!

Mickie James won her first title in 276BC, so why is Goldberg bragging?

What does "Be A World Champ" mean? If we're talking about "Successfully Receiving A Positive Outcome During An Achieved Championship Opportunity", let's just say that! I don't eat enough fibre for that.

He had a great send off following his WM 33 match with Brock, but I haven't been able to stand the guy since. I really hope I never see him on TV again.
