June 30. 1995. OOF I feel old and I was a kid when this came out Overall the movie wasn't that bad. Much better then the Turbo movie. Captured on the craze of the MMPR at their absolute height. Essentially an extended episode of MMPR with big time stakes and a fun villain in Ivan Ooze who should been made canon by now The suits itself still look decent. Too bad they tried to make a shitty version of it in the show with the Metallic Armor.

Better than Turbo, but not by that much. Ivan Ooze is an entertaining villain, Dulcea is hot, but other than that, the movie is mostly forgettable.

I only watched the pre-power transfer episodes of MMPR prior to the movie, so I was totally confused at first as to why Jason, Zack, and Trini weren't in it.

I have a soft spot for this because I was a huge Power Rangers fan as a preschooler and I still remember seeing it around the time it came out.

Yeah, if you didn't have SKY in the UK we had yet to see the following on regular four-channel television: -Rocky, Adam, Aisha -Tommy as the White Ranger -Rita back and married to Zedd

I still love this film, campy or not. Ivan Ooze was a fun villain and felt like a proper big screen adaptation of Power Rangers (though, don't get me wrong, I liked the recent movie as well). Kinda prefer the films version on how they got the new zords/powers over the tv explanation.

I can still watch this ending and go back to when I was a kid watching this. Def brings back childhood memories

The recent movie was a decent super hero movie that just happened to have Power Rangers slapped on as a name It was enough to continue it and considering the actors involved, each of them is doing good things so bringing them back would be another plus move Tho at this point, as I keep preaching if they do another PR movie just adapt the damn comic

Love the suits...should have ended up in the show but I know it was not possible with the japanese footage. Worst part is the zords (barf) there have been ugly as hell zords in the show but those still look like giant mechas THE f*** IS THAT! and it somehow gets worse when it starts moving ugh.

Yea, the CGI is horrendous in this. Has not aged well They would been better off just doing like they do with the TV show and making it look good for the movies Turbo got that right at least

Yep if I am gonna give any positive towards the Turbo movie it will be they made the Turbo Megazord look f***ing awesome and the scaling was perfect where the cars becme gigantic before combining into the zord so as the nip the whole question of...how do those tiny cars become this giant robot. Too bad the rest of the movie was never that forward thinking.

So much nostalgia. The soundtrack in particular brings back such a euphoric feeling. I’ve got the poster framed and up on the wall.
There was a period about 2 or so years ago where my (at the time) 4 year old niece became obsessed with Power Rangers, and was watching this movie multiple times every day.

I only watched the pre-power transfer episodes of MMPR prior to the movie, so I was totally confused at first as to why Jason, Zack, and Trini weren't in it. They were supposed to be in it. There's even press stuff you can find with the original cast hyping that they're about to shoot a movie. When Saban tried to rip them off, they split and left them scrambling to replace the OG cast. I think the new Rangers even filmed the movie before filming any episodes of the show.
