Put me down for Hager and Janela, as well. Hager's as bland as they come in his current role, and Janela is just obnoxious.
I have such mixed thoughts on Kenny Omega. He's talented, no doubt. Fantastic wrestler. However, I just don't think he's nearly the star he seems to think he is. Yeah, he's looked like a top star in the past. That's not that hard to do you're in the ring with the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada. Away from them, though? I've never found him to be that special.
I think he fooled quite a few people into thinking he's the reason those matches with Okada were so good. When in reality, it's because Okada knows how to make almost anyone look like a trillion dollars on his day.

Also away from Okada and Tana. He's had great matches with Ibushi, Ishii, Naito, Goto etc

Really? I guess that's just where I've frequented in the past. Fair enough. I'll concede your second point. However, those guys could make anyone look like they're made of money, as well. Especially Ishii.

For me, Kenny brings it every time he wrestles. Like, even if a match doesn't have the best build, he's one of the few guys who make matches must-see for me because of his ability. When it's a match with a solid build, it can end up as a MOTY candidate.

Especially Ishii. Yea, I mean Okada has a lazy streak but never heard people try to give majority credit to Omega for that True that. Ishii is the man. He’s also had great matches with the Bucks and Fenix too. End of day you put him in there with Great workers (which is 60% of wrestlers) you can expect a classic. Even the best can only have some many great performances. Okada during his streak where damn near everything was 4-5 star scale, had that match with Cody and it was merely okay. A 3 on the scale for a man who was putting out insane matches during his title reign

It took some time for me to "get" Kip Sabian. I kind of do now, I guess, but he isn't someone who I think "This is someone who I want to see on my television screen."

Kenny is the reverse Cody for me I will listen to Cody talk and he can sell me on the match but once the match comes I’m lukewarm With Kenny, when he talks I’m just like okay shut up and get to the ring

I think Kenny's a lot better in skits and "acting" than delivering a traditional wrestling promo. He's a lot more in his element there.

He’s better when he’s able to heel it up and talk shit. His promos have to have a real element to it which is when he’s at his best

Hager, the guy just isn't interesting. And they need to keep him out of long "shoot" style matches at all costs.

Cody, just tries to fit so much stuff into his matches, over elaborate entrances and we get it your Dusty's son....try to cut your own personality
Marko Stunt....just ugh....
Brandy Rhodes, just an irritating person - Ditto with the Young Bucks
Chuck Taylor and Trent...just dont get them
Spears....ugh bland generic wrestler who would fit in mid 2000's wwe generic wrestler with a look but no personality - e.g. Rob Conway/Dupree/Jindrak/Luther Reigns/Rodimer etc....how he lasted that long in wwe developmental was amazing

Nobody is a literal channel-changer for me, but Hager's pretty easy to tune out. I like him in Inner Circle but his singles matches have been lackluster overall.

Doesn't mean you literally change the channel, just acts you aren't feeling for whatever reason. AEW has been very good for the most part, so I really only have one: Archer. Just so uninteresting to me. Very little presence for a big man and his "beat up the crowd" schtick is the lamest. Hate his braid, his theme song.. Murderhawk Monster is a cool nickname, though. I think they need to drop the "Monster" from that nickname. It's overkill.

I've tried to get into Kenny's stuff since he was in NJPW because of the hype. But I just don't see it. A lot of his mannerisms and expressions kind of grate on me. I could be wrong, but I feel like his best stuff has only been when he's working with wrestlers who are extremely talented like Okada or Tanahashi. The Bucks, it's kind of funny because I don't care for their matches or their wrestling personas, but I have a soft spot for them because they were really cool when I met them. For me, Omega and YB are obviously enormously talented, but they always feel like dudes playing wrestler.. Like they're doing it ironically or something. Strip away all Cornette's hyperbolic insanity and bigotry (a f***ton to strip away, sure) and I agree with his core opinions on them. Yep I'm pretty much in the same boat there

No one is a channel changer but I'm happy to do something else when the following are wrestling. Cody Hagar Vance 'angry big guy' Archer Brodie Lee
To a lesser extent the Bucks and Omega. I just don't 'click' with them.
Actually, that's not quite true. I'll fast forward if Nyla or Britt Baker are on.

Orange Cassidy Matt Hardy The Butcher and the Blade Brandi Rhodes
I don't actively avoid their segments or matches, but I would prefer not to see them. The Gunn family as well, but they seem to be barely there as is.

Hager.
One of the few guys who actually looked better in WWE...both in physique and in wrestling ability.
Zero charisma. Zero psychology. Gets paid more than he deserves to just plod around the ring and ruin any feud he's in. Moxley couldn't make him interesting. Cody couldn't make him interesting. All the video packages don't amount to anything when you can't deliver in the ring, on the mic, or even have presence (which even Lance Archer has).
Jericho makes fun of MJF's gear, and I'm like...Chris...buddy...have you looked at Hager's? It's unflattering, and makes him look even more out of shape. And hell I'm not one to talk about body types, but I know what the dude 'used' to be, and even then he needed a mountain of window dressing to make it all work.
AEW isn't very good at covering up people's weaknesses sadly.
When he debuted on the first Dynamite, it went over like a wet blanket for me, and sadly I was proven right. Lame guy to have as your "big surprise" to end the show, and has ONE promo that I actually liked, and it was a freaking poem he was reading off a piece of paper.
Sorry for the long winded reply, but I can defend almost anyone else that AEW has signed, but I cannot defend Jake Hager. Horrible in the ring, and an asshole out of the ring. He gets a free pass while other people get torched for saying the same shit. I don't get what they see in him.
Dude is a decent silent badass, but even then Dexter Lumis has that area covered in spades. He's somehow a try hard and a lazy ass at the same time.
Meh.
Also Chuck Taylor. Can't stand him either. But at least he has charisma. Like I said I can defend most anyone, even people I don't like, 'cept Hager.
