The rumors say Punk wanted 20 million. No rumors, Punk has stated in interviews he wants 25 million from WWE. He seemed pretty serious.

That's the kind of figure you throw around when you aren't really serious about wanting to come back but toss it out there just in case someone actually takes you up on it.

I hope they give Punk the money before they close the shop.

The rumors say Punk wanted 20 million. That makes sense. Its absurdly high enough to dissuade a counter offer, but it's also probably the ceiling for how much a wrestler could make just being a wrestler. Brock was making $12 million at one point, and that's 60% more.

Thank goodness we have Konnan, dedicated investigative journalist with his ear to the ground and his nose to the wind, for he was the only one capable of breaking this immense story.

If Konnan told me I was alive I'd check my pulse just to be sure.

Yea, go big If they pay it, f*** it you're $25 mill richer and just have to perk up enough effort to actually give a damn. If they don't then fine, you're content with were you are at in life anyway

I know Punk's a polarizing dude, and his personality has lost him some fans, but I think he's more than earned to right to ask for big money. If I were in his shoes, I'd be asking for big bucks too. Unless he is serious about getting back in the ring, which I don't think he is.

Punk would be worth an “astronomical” amount of money once fans are back. Could push them well over a million viewers consistently. I'm not sure that's true any more after he got murdered at UFC twice and hasn't wrestled in six years. Actually, he would probably pop a mega rating at first, explicitly if he was wrestling, and then start having terrible matches, and the shine would go off pretty quick. edit: six years, not nine. But as Jimi would say, what if six turned out to be nine?

25 million for 3 years sounds about right.
AEW would make well more than that in terms of ticket sales and merchandising.
For one year? Hard pass.
