Brian Pillman Jr.'s debut in AEW Technically no, as he worked the DoN '19 battle royal. Hoping they pick him up for a regular gig, he deserves much better than what MLW was doing with him.

Something to note, Cutler was one of those who The Dark Order was interested in recruiting so that makes the tag match between them more interesting.

I do have an issue with the fact that the Cutler/Avalon story has been relegated exclusively to Dark. I know they don't want to waste airtime on Dynamite to two winless people being in a tag team where they still keep losing, but even their elimination in the battle royal a few weeks ago was during a commercial break. So, on Dark, there's an emphasis that they want this to go somewhere, but outside of Dark, it's a non-factor.

Does Nakazawa live in the US or Japan now? After looking at his Twitter bio, the U.S., but just hasn't been seen on AEW shows in a while.

Will Hobbs is another local guy I've met at shows, glad to see he's getting an opportunity.

To be even more technical, this'll be the first one where it'll count on the Win/Loss record since battle royales don't count besides wins.

Right, I just remembered the tag match with him and Omega vs. Best Friends when Hangman was out after the virus first became widespread here.

This is probably the most stacked DARK has been in a bit. Which makes sense, DARK should be stacked the next three weeks considering the cards
Really excited for quite a few of these matches, Kaz and Luther is also one where a winner doesn't seem obvious.
Pillman Jr. should be a treat. I wonder if Tully might be scouting... there's Horseman lineage there

I suppose it is because they can devote more time to character building. There are fewer demands placed on the show because it is on the Internet rather than cable TV.

Man, if only AEW had Dexter Lumis on their roster. They could have had the team of Hobbs and Shaw.

Kazarian/Luther is a toss-up for me.
Seems likely that Kaz wins but with Serpentico facing Scorpio, there is a bit of a "Split team" dynamic on the show and with Scorpio moving more and more into singles, him picking up a win over Serpentico while Kaz loses to Luther could enforce that. Plus, you'd get a good set-up for SCU Kaz/Daniels beating Serpentico/Luther on a later show to establish the tag team's 'better together' deal.

Brian Pillman Jr. has quit MLW over their apparent affiliation with Chayson Rance, wasn't the only roster member to either.
So Pillman Jr. is a free agent and this was probably his tryout match.

He has been seen on some BtEs lately, even the last one, but not really a focus when the show him. To be honest, I thought he was hired to be more of a trainer then onscreen talent, like Billy Gunn, which was why even if he is in the area you don't see him on screen a lot
