Seth hands Rey some paperwork proving that he legally changed Rey’s name to Rey Mystero and wins the match. Eye see what you did there

Seth hands Rey some paperwork proving that he legally changed Rey’s name to Rey Mystero and wins the match. Rey gets revenge by legally changing Seth’s name to Seth Rollns.

So did Vince see the storyline with Moxley and Jericho and just figure he could do it but way more stupid and convoluted to the point it's just ridiculous?

... I'm already trying not to post in the WWE section about backstage stories* because they're too depressing to even riff on...now even the in-ring stuff is too depressing to riff on Bold move on their part I guess, those that remain can see if it pays off.... *: for example, the Saudi plane apparently-temporary-kidnapping flex
infecting 30-40 members of their roster with COVID-19 due to their shitty safety measures then getting angry at people reporting they got it
using their unnecessary firings to get pops for the legitimately-fired wrestlers

Seth loses, but since LOL THE FIEND MADE HIM TURN HEEL, he goes to the Firefly Funhouse and gets Bray to use the HEAL glove to make him whole again. Rumors of a new Wyatt Family start again.

I’m all for these over the top cinematic (or over the top billing) matches during the pandemic. Keep them coming. Better than ho-hum booking. They’ve already produced some great content with the Boneyard Match, the Firefly Funhouse Match, Money in the Bank, and the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.

yeah, the match will almost certainly have special effects makeup to make this happen, since all the pay per views have had cinematic elements since the pandemic... doesn't make it any less stupid.

Similar to wondering what would happen if the wrong person accidentally got busted open during a First Blood match, what happens if Seth is booked to win, yet his eyeball accidentally falls out mid-match?

I think like they did for an Austin First Blood match where it was possible he’d get busted open too early because of fresh wounds he legit had.....it’s gotta be a good eyeball removal!!! Not just a minor one.

Feels like it might be a cover for something else. Maybe we get an onscreen authority figure again. Someone stops the match, suspends both of them. “See, this is what happens when nobody is in charge around here.” But if that would be the case...who booked this match in the first place? And how is it being advertised as such on the website? Like, the website and social media were the ones who announced the rules, right? And just like in other companies, this has to be approved? So then someone would have noticed by now. If this were Seth harping on about it and the website saying “This is a street fight (or something) and Seth’s threatened to take out Rey’s eye”, that’s a different thing. But that’s not what this is. But it also brings up another question; who HAS been the authority for these shows? The McMahons? USA/FOX? HHH since it’s at the PC? I get that they don’t want to emphasize that anymore but it has to be somebody, right?

We did have Adam Pearce making matches for a hot minute, but I don't think he was at this show due to testing positive for COVID and all.

I mean, then that brings up the idea of television commentator Michael Cole wants to see people tearing their eyeballs out? Like... what? We did have Adam Pearce making matches for a hot minute, but I don't think he was at this show due to testing positive for COVID and all. It doesn’t surprise me they didn’t think of just using a road agent who was there to replace him if that’s the case.

Dude’s been working on Vince McMahon’s commentary desk for well over 20 years... He’s gotta be repressed as f***.
