"For those who are critical of the company becoming nothing but a vehicle for Hogan to get himself over and every other wrestler is simply being buried under his rubble, here are facts. WCW was dying, in fact, just about dead, before his arrival. The term life support systems used here frequently was an apt description."
"Hogan came out for an interview and they shot the Nancy Kerrigan angle as a masked man with a club hit him in the back of the knee as all the company officials gathered around. The masked man in actuality was Arn Anderson, although when it gets revealed in the storyline, they'll claim it was Curt Hennig. Hennig is still under contract to WWF so can't appear on WCW television until October or November, so for future trivia, he'll be the character who was introduced as the perpetrator of a major angle on a show that he didn't even attend."
"It was an amazing contrast between Gene Okerlund and Schiavone in selling the Hogan injury. Okerlund acted as if his son had just been castrated. Schiavone acted as if the waiter was five minutes late bringing him a sandwich for lunch."
"Johnny B. Badd injured his ankle doing a try-out on the obstacle course on the England version of Gladiators but is expected back now in time for the PPV and his TV title match."

"This past week, Madison Square Garden canceled the WCW show scheduled for 11/26 and the WWF will be getting the date instead, which left quite a few furious people within WCW, which had expected to draw its largest house show gate of the year on that date with a Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair headliner."
"Apparently at the Clash, during the finish when Flair left taking the title belt with him, that wasn't supposed to happen, or at least Hogan wanted to leave with the belt and there was heat over it."

"Ric Flair did an interview from Las Vegas with a duplicate belt he's made up as he's claiming to be retired as the real world champion, which is similar to the WWF angle he did with Hogan."

"The Flair-Hogan interview segment, said to be live via satellite, was actually filmed several weeks earlier as was painfully obvious when Mean Gene's interaction with Hogan's responses were so poorly timed."
"The show ended nearly nine minutes early which left Bobby Heenan, Gene Okerlund and Tony Schiavone to do an painful time filling ad lib."
"Ole did several interviews for Cornette promoting his sons arrival in SMW while working at the school. Eric Bischoff, who hadn't been to the school in four months, not so coincidentally drove up while an interview was in progress and privately called Ole over and told him it wasn't in his best interest to be talking with Cornette and then fired him the next day."
"There is a situation, don't know how major, largely involving WCW and ECW over the PPV show because WCW named the show "When World's Collide," which is the same name as an ECW house show and videotape from a few months back....several sources are saying Dangerously's first demand as a settlement was Ric Flair working one ECW Arena date going to a 60:00 draw with Shane Douglas. It was brought up to Flair who absolutely refused."
"It was a bad weekend for Steve Austin. Not only did he have to put Duggan over in 30 seconds, but his house flooded the day before."

"Hogan ran in to make the save and once again destroyed Flair. The masked man (who from the brief glimpse appeared to be Arn Anderson once again although it is expected to be someone else when the storyline is concluded) tried to make a save, but Brutus Beefcake (referred to as "Brother Bruti" in every reference by everyone as apparently Titan owns the Brutus Beefcake name and will let him use it on indie shows but not for WCW) cut him off."
"Dave Sullivan, who is playing a semi-retarded childlike role, got an autograph photo of Hulk Hogan and in return Hogan gave him the wrestling boots he wore when he defeated Andre the Giant at the Pontiac Silverdome."
"The tumultuous tenure of Jesse Ventura (Jim Janos) as a WCW color commentator came to a close officially this past week when the group decided to drop Ventura from all broadcasts with five months remaining on his contract."
"Supposedly a directive came down from Ted Turner himself that the company was to sign Ventura, which it then did, although it was rumored to have been for less money than his original deal under Kip Frey. Ventura's one-year deal was still for more money than either Gene Okerlund or Heenan were earning, allowing him to proclaim himself as still No. 1 in his field despite his diminishing workload because he claimed to have been the highest paid announcer in the business, which made him No. 1."
"Before the arrival of Hulk Hogan, there was probably nobody in American wrestling who earned as much money per appearance as Ventura"
"Ventura had been led to believe, and in fact, WCW press releases themselves stated, that the major PPV shows would be done by a three-man team of Ventura, Heenan and Tony Schiavone. However, without being told ahead of time by anyone in the company, Ventura showed up and was given one match to call as a bone with Heenan being the obvious lead color man in the company."
"It appeared the final blow was at the Bash at the Beach when Ventura was brought out for his token match just after the Antonio Inoki-Steve Regal angle had run, and Schiavone asked Ventura something to the effect of what went through Regal's mind to do such a thing and Ventura came back with something like, I don't know, why don't you ask him. Later when asked about who would win the Hogan-Flair match, Ventura responded "Ric Flair" as if he didn't want to even be bothered by the question."
"At another recent point, Ventura was requested to come to Atlanta for voice-overs with less than seven days notice, which his contract stipulated, and failed to appear which caused bad feelings within the company because of his salary."
"Even though he'll no longer be working for WCW, Ventura is expected to be receiving his full salary through 3/1/95."

"Warlord, Sgt. Slaughter and Tito Santana were all backstage looking for work. Warlord was telling everyone he was off steroids for the past 18 months but people felt he was insulting their intelligence."
"WCW is going to do a cruiserweight division tournament as a vehicle to give Brian Pillman a new push, on television (Saturday mornings and Sunday Main Event tournament) either starting in November or January, with the idea being to bring in wrestlers from Japan and Mexico as his opponents."
"After four years they've finally figured it out. WCW Main Event will air live from Detroit on 10/23 airing the final hour before the start of the PPV card."

"Rick Rude filed a $630,000 lawsuit against WCW stemming from his departure and his injury. The reason Rude isn't going to WWF is because he's collecting disability on his Lloyd's policy and also because of the lawsuit."
"As Hogan was writhing in pain with Beefcake consoling him, Hogan said "Brutus" and then had to correct himself with "Bruti" immediately."

"The Mystery man definitely not Curt Hennig as originally planned as the two sides were far apart on money, with reports that Hennig wanted $400,000 for one year and they weren't willing to go nearly that high"
"If this means anything, and it's probably more an example of yet another WCW screw-up one way or another, advertising was sent out about a week ago for Starrcade to cable companies listing Hogan vs. Flair for the title as the main event on the show."

"The biggest story during the week, although it was somewhat blown out of proportion, was that after all the hype, the Flair-Hogan match wasn't even going to take place and even that Flair would be through with the company. There was apparently a dispute early in the week in regard to the time frame of the agreed-upon contract extension Flair was getting to put Hogan over clean. This was settled by mid-week with Flair being under contract now with WCW at his current pay (rumored to be in the $425,000 per year range) through March of 1997."
"This Dave Sullivan character, as much as people deservedly praise how great he is in the role, is the most not over pushed character that should be over I've ever seen."
"Sherri started climbing the cage but Jimmy Hart climbed up after her and pulled her skirt off revealing black undies (Sherri must have known about this spot for a few weeks because having to run around in her undies in front of the world seems to explain why she's dropped weight)."
"Did you notice the name "Crockett" on one of the tombstones where the wrestlers entered the building from?"
"They did an interview with the Faces of Fear for the Clash which probably won't air because Gene Okerlund forgot Butcher's name and Ed Leslie had to tell him the name again in an awkward manner. The gist of the interview was that Sullivan claimed that Hogan was too busy making a movie and didn't come to Butcher's parents funeral on time. They did a re-take of the interview and all references to the funeral were left out."
"The Make-a-Wish foundation asked Hogan to be one of the hosts for a television fund-raising telethon which he'll do. When WWF got wind of this, they contacted Make-a-Wish and offered to do a "Holiday Wish" house show tour to raise money which will take place in late December. You can read whatever you want into that."
