Watching through the promos, after their title win I found it interesting that Taichi said these five guys will control wrestling and that didn't include Minoru Suzuki. I think a betrayal is right around the corner, not sure if it will be Sabre-gun or Taichi-gun, but it's happening. I could even see it at Sengoku Lord.

Suzuki-gun is in an interesting position post-NJC. They are now the aggressive but cool heels in today’s New Japan, as EVIL’s Bullet Club plants themselves firmly in the chaotic and pure heel realm with their dirtier tactics. Not to say that Taichi didn’t cheat, but his victory over Tana and the tag title win felt predominately earned due to their closing stretches.
Meanwhile, the lines between Hontai/CHAOS/LIJ are blurring with the latter moving more into face territory after the last tour. Feels like the only difference is that LIJ doesn’t team with Lions. This makes SZG stand out even more as a unit.
As for Suzuki himself, I feel like his removal would have to coincide with his retirement. It would be weird to have him kicked out, then hanging around with the dads afterward after years of battling them and torturing young boys. If the mutiny ever comes, I feel as though it would be the beginning of his final arc. Or at least his finale with New Japan (setting him up for more freelance work). Either way, the guy can still go at 52 – Father Time must be afraid to go near him.

Ryan Taylor and Danny Rivera getting some Lion's Break play is great. Looks like they used CWFH's setup as well, even their ring announcer.

New Japan Road has started. I always hope for a Young Lion won, and every time I’m disappointed. Will always have high hopes for Tsuji and Uemura though.
It’s nice having fans back in Korakuen Hall

Yano “had to” cheat to beat Kidd. I wonder if that’s praise coming from the office for Kidd?

Calling this now before the match happens, Douki is taking the pin in this one.

In a surprise to nobody, Douki lost. The biggest surprise is he lost to Skull End. WTF?
Looking forward to Desperado vs Shingo on Saturday. Should be a hard hitting affair.

Yano “had to” cheat to beat Kidd. I wonder if that’s praise coming from the office for Kidd? Yano would cheat to beat a man who's blind, deaf and immobile

Entertaining enough match with Goto picking up the win. There will be Bullet Club BS at Sengoku Lord, but it’ll still be entertaining.
