Bayley was great as a babyface. WWE were just incompetent in their handling of her character.
That said the entire Boss character Sasha has only works as a heel.

Everything they're doing just seems like filler en route to their breakup. I can't be remotely invested in any of Bayleys defenses because she's absolutely not losing the title to anyone not named Sasha Bayley like Becky before her had a few chances to drop the title but they kept it on her to pad the stats Not counting the 2 days she lost the title to Charlotte, I want to say Bayley run is close to eclipsing Becky days as champ

But your point stands. She's could/should have dropped it sooner. She's made the SD women's division look like goobers

They're a great act. My problem has been how the company has been trying to tell their story. I get that they've done some hints teasing dissention but the commentators have been beating us over the head with the idea that they're clearly not friends and/or are on the verge of falling apart. And aside from the issue of lacking subtlety, it also makes no sense given that they've largely been successful and continue to prove them wrong. It would be like if JR/King started teasing Batista breaking away from Evolution a year before it actually happened.

Up until Mania, her feuds were basically filler

The 4HW have combined kill the interest in about 95% of the women's Roster over the last few years. I get that they're all extremely talented, but there's only so much of them running over everyone that I can take.

I pointed that out in her heel thread She has been super hurt the most by 4HW booking. They clearly like her and see things in her but in an error of judgment they keep putting her in spots of taking L's to them so she's not getting any type of rub. For someone to have worked with all 4HW the way she has, she is supposed to mean more then she does Overall, it is just a bad circle. Charlotte is used wrongly as a transitional champ that it happens so much that you can't get a rub off her. Becky reign went on too long and if she didn't get pregnant, she may have only lost recently to Asuka if that. Bayley, heel turn had promise and then it flopped. She's been much better since the crowds have been gone thanks to her personality. Sasha is a 6x champ who is now finally healthy for the first time in years and clearly better as a heel but they about to turn her face and miscast her again

It was bad enough seeing what happened to her character but watching Bayley plod through matches with weak looking, completely random offense that was often botched was one of things that drove me away. I'm glad to hear she's seemingly back to being at least passable again.
I hope they can recapture the old magic they had in NXT.

Don’t care either. Only females I have any investment in are Asuka, Kairi and Io.

You know how HHH is considered like a Dad to the ex NXT roster members?
Well that’s kinda how I feel watching Sasha & Bayley in particular. Been watching them since they were in NXT in 2013 when Bayley was a star struck babyface and Sasha was a bland babyface that hadn't dyed her hair yet. I’ve seen these 2 come so far so I will always support them.
And they are both killing it atm. I’ve been waiting for Sasha v Bayley for years now and despite the stops and starts they have had I’m still here for it.

I want them to be best friends, maybe lovers, champions, and Golden Role Models for the rest of forever. I think that describes The IIconics better than Sasha and Bayley

I like how that they now have the spotlight after being in Charlotte and Becky's shadow.

The act is working good now, I just don’t think it needs to be on multiple shows a week, often multiple times a show. Overexposure still can happen whether one likes the talent or not.

I love them. Bayley especially has been on fire since WrestleMania. She’s really thrived in the COVID era shows.

I think they’re the most entertaining they’ve been in years, but man, I have NO interest in their inevitable break up / feud.

They have teased a break up about 7 times in the past 3 years so no one is likely to care, but hopefully this just gets us to Summerslam which will be the 5 year anniversary of Takeover Brooklyn and then move them on. I thought out of interest id see how many singles matches Sasha and Bayley have had on TV and the result is: 9th January 2014 - NXT 30th January 2014 - NXT 13th March 2014 - NXT 17th July 2014 - NXT 31st July 2014 - NXT 25th September 2014 - NXT 28th August 2015 - Takeover Brooklyn 7th October 2015 - Takeover RESPECT 6th March 2017 - RAW 24th July 2017 - RAW 12th February 2018 - RAW 16th April 2018 - RAW So they havent had a singles match in over 2 years and only had 4 matches on the main roster, which is interesting. They also had a singles match on the night of Nia punching Becky.

I actually really enjoy how transparent it is that everyone tried to drive a wedge between Sasha and Bayley, but they've been through it so much that they are used to it, and every failed attempt at breaking them up has caused them to grow stronger. Everyone points out that Bayley has a title and Sasha doesn't, so they win the tag titles. Now, the babyfaces try pointing out that Bayley has two belts and Sasha just has one, so she uses her status as tag champ to challenge for Asuka's Raw title.
The fact that Bayley has used the empty arena format to her advantage by making sure all her banter is picked up by the cameras makes it even better. It's a shame that eventually Sasha will have to turn face to move forward at some point, but she is the one who changed the least out of their heel turns from last year anyway.
