Watched this playlist that WWE made of Every Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar and just now I realise they've never had a 1-on-1 matches on the weekly shows. All of their 1-on-1 matches happened exclusively on PPV (except house shows of course).

That’s the way it should be. You shouldn’t waste such high caliber matches on weekly tv.

I forgot all about the Biker Chain match. I just started watching a few months prior and 4th grader me was like actually tempted to order the PPV to see if Undy would win lol.

I mean, since coming back in 2012, Brock has only had seven seconds of ring time on free TV, so it kind of makes sense that he's got at least one big rivalry that exclusively took place on PPV/iPPV.

Sure, but when you consider that there was still a fair amount of people Brock had major feuds in first run that were still active when he came back, there was bound to be one that he just never had a 1v1 match on TV during that first run. It just so happened to be Taker, but Cena and Big Show were other possibilities that come to mind as well.

Was it a kicks in the nuts or punches in the nuts, that was one of the builds to their more fresh matches? How many shots in total?

Taker got Seth DQed against Brock with a dick kick, did it again on Raw a few times, then used one to beat Brock at Summerslam, then Brock used one to beat him in the Cell.

Damn, that's even more than I remember. Endless shots. Perfect!

Makes sense
They built this up as a way to pass the torch to Lesnar when he was younger and Taker and was obviously still high profile at the time compared to Hogan (past his prime) and the Austin match that never happened in which Austin was starting to fade
Just smart booking on their part here. I think even the matches him and Kurt had on TV were either setups or WWE title matches. I don’t remember Lesnar and Kurt having a regular match with no stakes on TV

Heck, Taker kicked Brock in the dick in their very first match, at Unforgiven 2002!

Their first Hell in a Cell match is my favorite. It's just so goddamn brutal, which is what a Hell in a Cell match should be. And Heyman's performance during it was amazing.

I hadn't realised that, but I'm glad that's the case.

Did Seth actually get DQ'ed in that match? I thought that Undertaker turned up and took Brock to Nutshot City, spammed several chokeslams and then the PPV just ended with absolutely no mention of where Rollins had gone to.

I think it was ruled a DQ.

Did Cena/Orton or HHH/Orton ever have a free tv match? I'm having trouble remembering.
