Vince McMahon- went from a genius who helped make professional wrestling huge to being considered one of the biggest problems that it has. Vince never had a great public image to begin with.

Michael Bolton. Once seen as a soft rock hack ripping off soul singers, by being willing to make fun of himself, he's gained somewhat of a following, and apparently, his musical work is being re-evaluated as well. I want a Michael Bolton album where he summarizes all his favorite movies.

Kenny G got made fun of Wayne's World as being worse than getting drilled by the dentist. And now? Actually... what does everyone think of Kenny G? Kenny G is low-key a very funny dude. I've loved his association with the Dan Le Batard Show.

Funny no one has mentioned Shatner yet. From 'serious actor' to 'washed up joke trying to cash in past fame' to 'self-depricating joke' and somehow regained acceptance by acknowledging his past.

Do dead people count? If so, Tupac Shakur. When he was alive, he was a controversial figure in hip-hop. Sure, he was popular enough and then got signed to Death Row and his career skyrocketed. Then came his untimely death and releases of posthumous albums. He became so beloved and often viewed as some deity.

Now that he's picked a fight with Red Letter Media, I wonder how long will it be before perception of him flips again?

Much as I think Shatner's an ass, I don't see anybody but RLM's fanbase caring, and they (or, at least, a portion of them) seem to be the root of all the problems in that mess.

People liked Bill Gates like 5 months ago. I'm incredibly confused, has there been some movement turning Bill Gates into a public hate figure that I've just managed to miss? From where I'm sitting, the perception of Bill Gates is basically the same as it's always been. Rich dude no one really thinks about.

Bill Gates gives africans autism with his vaccines, which are sometimes made from dead planned parenthood babies, and reportedly speaks in a deep sonorous voice at high-level globalist/satanist meetings before he prostrates himself before some variety of George Soros, Henry Kissinger, or Moloch. I don't think people believe Bill Gates caused covid-19 in large enough numbers to have actually impacted the man's generalised public perception. If anything he's probably gone up in most people's estimations for his large donations to vaccine research.

I can't believe there's a great many more people who hate the man's guts now who didn't already hate him for one reason or another prior to 2020's bullshit.

Apologies if his name has been mentioned but axl rose with the kind of reunion of the UYI era Guns N Roses has had his public image and opinion change. I'm a huge fan of GNR and there was a perception of axl rose after the original members left or were fired that it was his fault and we had the song one in a million and the late starts and riots in St. Louis and Montreal which didn't help. Also, him saying nothing for years in the 1990s and early 2000s helped others including his former bandmates to paint him a certain way,

Yup, I love me some RLM, but it's basically fans defending RLM to Bill getting pissed off about it. Shame for Mike, as the dude loves Star Trek.

If there's going to be any beef between Shatner and RLM, Shatner's going to be extremely easy for me to side with. I can't stand RLM at all.

He seems to have mellowed a lot with age and now seems like a pretty cool guy. That the reunion seems to have gone off without a hitch suggests the band members think so as well.

Funny no one has mentioned Shatner yet. From 'serious actor' to 'washed up joke trying to cash in past fame' to 'self-depricating joke' and somehow regained acceptance by acknowledging his past. He ruins every show I've ever seen him in. I just don't get how he is entertaining with adding a period after every word he speaks. Simpsons did a parody of him signing a song about Homer Simpson's hate of Ned Flanders. I think the writers were bitter they couldn't get him for the show in the 1990s but their impression of him in the episode is spot on as he sings "Every. One. In. The. World. Hates. Ned. Flanders. He's. The. Flanders. Man. Flanders. Man. Flanders. Man. Ned." I'm happy for the man living such a long life but I don't feel he's deserved any of his fame. I don't think he's ever been seen as much of a punch line though. He always seems to have gotten a lot of work, and serious work at that.
