Daily reruns of TOS is what got me into Star Trek, plus going to see the first 5 films in a theater.
Watched TNG for the first 3 seasons and tapped out. It was ok but was missing something the TOS had. Tried DS9 and yea I have heard it got way way better a few seasons in. But just couldn't make it that far. The series since then I give them a shot and before that first season is over I realize I'm not enjoying it.
Feels like they're trying to do too many Trek things at once. I'm not necessarily against them trying to rebuild the brand and stuff, but they need to slow down and pace stuff out better. There's this kids show, the Lower Decks series, Discovery, and Picard all happening at the same time. It's off putting to a more casual Trek fan that isnt obsessed.

The one on the right is just happy to be there after his ancestor was cut from Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
And while the designs are out there, I like that we're looking at a mostly alien group (especially since we have a human focus with Janeway returning). The Federation at this time is multiple worlds, thus multiple races, and just because Trek had to deal with budget reasons why most looked like humans with a few things on their body (usually some forehead prosthetic) it's not to say all species need to. Even the Kelvin-verse knew that with that assistant guy to Scotty.

"You're only given a little spark of madness. And if you lose that, you're nothing!" Robin Williams 1978 HBO Special
An exiled spy from the Jelly Slimians who no one is sure can be trusted, despite his eloquent and charming personality.
If anyone asks him about his past he'll just smile politely and say he's a humble waste management consultant and any rumours of him being a former operative with the Black Order of Destruction are merely slander and exaggeration.
