That whole thing was hilarious. The boot up sequence to start, then all the responses when you'd lose at pong. That was great!

I can't wait for Adam's sharp knowledge of Japanese gaming. Like when he said Beatmania was a rip off of Guitar Hero. XD

Maaaan, just stick to original programming please. I'm talking back in the GOOD years of G4TechTV when we had shows like The Screen Savers, Electric Playground, Cinematech, hell I'll even take revivals of Players and Anime Unleashed! They’re probably going to go all in with eSports content now, because I don’t think there’s a dedicated channel to that in America.

ESPN had probably the best opportunity to showcase more eSports content during the pandemic and didn’t really take it so there’s no harm in someone else giving it a go and giving it a budget.

I’d imagine a channel primarily focused on video games could handle eSports content a bit better than ESPN could.

They also wouldn’t be forced by their parent company to censor characters with t-rated outfits. >_>

I understand all those that want Morgan Webb back.
But Tina Wood and Laura Foy, though.

They’re probably going to go all in with eSports content now, because I don’t think there’s a dedicated channel to that in America. There are a couple esports networks in the States— ESTV and ESR—but I think they’re streaming-only. What I expect is that the revamped G4 will be primarily streaming, probably launching on Peacock and maybe expanding to other revenue-sharing free services (i.e. Pluto TV, STIRR, etc.). Comcast might add it as a cable channel (brand synergy & all), but I expect streaming, not cable, will be their primary M.O. I agree with those of you saying it will probably be mostly esports focused. I wouldn’t be surprised to see shows like X-Play and AotS come back, but they’ll probably be more esports-based shows using the legacy titles than anything super-closely resembling the classics. But that’s just my speculation. We’ll probably find out their plans soon enough.

Worth noting that the Xplay and Attack accounts on Twitter also posted that same G4 promo video, so it’s a safe bet they’ll be back as part of NuG4.

I'd be interested to see how they would do Attack of the Show now. They MIGHT get Kevin Pereira back but I'd be shocked if they got Olivia Munn back as well seeing how she kind of got bigger than G4 when she left.
The more I think about it. I think this is going to be and should be a streaming service that's going to have live events and shows but it won't be a full out network this time around. If they had a few shows come back, and some new shows that they would updated weekly along with having older G4 content, I think it would work. It would also be very interesting to see coverage of older media and seeing what is said now in retrospect. There's also a whole new world to explore with esports and streaming. Gaming is stronger than its ever been, so a new network adapted to the new digital streaming age I think could be very successful.

Munn was gone before Attack of hte Show was cancelled... they'd likely get a new host / hosts.

I always preferred Sarah Lane over Olivia Munn as the co-host of AOTS, personally.
