Think of the butterfly effect without them!!
Booker T. doesn't meet his future wife Sharmell [Paisley]. And what's King Bookaaaah without his queen?
Kevin Nash can't introduce HBK to his future wife Whisper. High as a kite Michaels tells the wrong person they shouldn't be Doink and is probably dead by 2003.
Stacy Keibler simply goes to college and lives a nondescript life.
Chae never pops of out her top on national TV.
Alex Wright goes down in WCW history as the greatest dancer. (Apologies to Ernest Miller.)

They were women being used as eye candy.
They worked perfectly when that's all they were for, and that is depressing.

Loved it. It would look out of place in WWE but maybe AEW could do something similar. WWE had the Federettes during the mid-1980s, but their role was merely to take the ring jackets/robes back to the locker room and look good doing it. They disappeared for the most part after Savage introduced Elizabeth, and were almost certainly gone by 1987. Early Federettes with the satin jackets: Later Federettes with the blouse-and-vest combo (promoting the ice cream bars):

Now that I think about it, because some people are saying that they weren't that great of dancers, the only one who seemed to have had a dancing background was AC Jazz. I often called her the overlooked one because she was one that doesn't get talked about a lot (though not as much as Tayo, who is more forgotten about). Anyway, AC Jazz was probably the only one who had dancing skills and I remember she was the first to leave because she complained about being pushed into angles.
Speaking of which, I kind of liked Spice as Madusa's valet in late-1999. Then again, I always had a crush on Spice.

As a teen, I loved the nitro girls. Spice, fyre, chae and tygress were my favorites. They were like WCW's spice girls/laker girls.

Larry Zybszko didn't overlook the "little blue eyed goddess" The Nitro with no wrestling for the first hour had a video of AC Jazz where she said that along with Spice she did the choreography for the group.

The Nitro Girls also played a pivotal role in one of the greatest movies of all time, Ready to Rumble, and for that... We should all be thankful.
I thought they were a great way to break up parts of the show and give it an air of something always going on. Made the length of Nitro fly by compared to some of the stuff these days (I guess among other factors as well). I wish they had tried to have a bit more fun with them on the TV side, but I get that they were probably mostly there for the live crowd.
Putting them in the ring was stupid, but WCWs women's wrestling was so generally bad that was it even much of a step down? Seriously, I don't even know why the tried; it felt, at the time, like you would get one segment at most a month and even those were 90 percent pointless. I can't even remember a single meaningful feud between any of the women in WCW. Maybe that is on me though.

I honestly never cared for them, it's one of the few things in late 90s WCW that I just had no interest in at all. I get their appeal but I usually would either change the channel or stop paying attention while they were there.

I remember being about 13 years old and having a thing for Fyre.
Come to think of it, I remember at the same exact time having a thing for Ginger Spice.
...huh, never really put that together before.
