For me, Bret Hart in 1997. I was a dumb 15-year-old mark.

Definitely Triple H during his reign of terror. I was around 10-12 at the time and I just hated the dude. Im hindsight, he was definitely a good heel, but man was I tired of seeing the dude just straight up beating all of my favorite wrestlers clean.

NWO Hogan was loathsome, HBK as the worlds oldest teenager in 97-98 annoyed me a lot (turned out in both cases the men were simply playing themselves, well at least Shawn got better). McMahon–Helmsley Faction was HHH's best heel work by a mile, reign of terror got me to stop watching so going a bit too far.
SRS Jericho and SES Punk were both good at getting under the crowds skin without being boring, to a lesser extent world champion Miz and super Shane got good heat too.

DDP killing Evad's bunny. I was 9 and killing a defenseless animal made me haaaate him to the point I didn't know how he could still be employed.

Michelle McCool & Layla during the Mickie James feud.
When I was a kid I hated Flair in 92. Also despised HHH in 2000 and during the reign of terror.

Maybe Brian Pillman after he had kidnapped Marlena. I was still a fairly big Goldust mark then, and watching Pillman be a massive sleaze with his psycho grin while she was miserable got under my skin as a boy. But then I go back for rewatches and I'm like damn, Brian was a fantastic performer.

Triple H when he reversed Jericho's "title win", took me nearly a decade and a half to come around on him.

Charlotte. She wore out her welcome in 2016 and absolutely nothing has changed since then

Benoit during 2000. Jericho was my favourite wrestler, and I HATED that he was always beating him. The ladder match win at the 2001 Royal Rumble is one of my favourite ever matches cause Jericho finally goes over.
I remember being absolutely furious during Fully Loaded when it looked like Benoit had won the title off Rock via DQ, only for Foley to come out and restart the match. I miss being so invested in heels vs. faces!
Another one of my favourite ever matches is Benoit/Jericho vs. The Two Man Power Trip on Raw, and I never would've been so invested in that match if I hadn't spent the previous 18 months just rabid (pun intended) at Benoit. There was that feeling of being a mark who now felt they were 'allowed' to cheer a wrestler after a face turn that was just such pure unadulterated joy.

Nothing annoyed me more when watching coliseum videos than seeing IRS because it meant I'd either have to fast forward it or if he was wrestling someone I liked I'd have to sit through the chinlock with the foot on the ropes, then the abdominal stretch with him holding the ropes and most of the time the finish was him getting disqualified for using the briefcase.
Jeff Jarrett in 98/99 was instant FF for me as well, can't put into words how much that sleeper reversal into a suplex spot annoyed me.

Orton during the Foley feud in 2004. I was in my mid 20s at the time. 😬 I wanted to see Mick absolutely murder Orton.

Edge through 08-10, getting numerous reigns that padded out to nothing and when he did lose he'd get it right back the very next month

HHH Reign of Terror. Never was huge on HHH to begin with. It took me a long time to enjoy him in anything. It wasn't until his D-X reunion where I started to enjoy him again but still had this never want him as World Champion again attitude with him.
Jeff Jarrett his TNA reign of terror but again never was big fan of Jarrett at anytime. He was always Meh and just could never buy him as a MEer.
Hogan NWO just hated his guts more than ever before. I never liked Hogan but this was peaked of him.

I don't hate him. Infact, I'd say I'm actually a fan of his when he's not being a lazy sack of shit... but I absolutely loathed Brocks reign of terror on those world titles over the past 6 years or so.
People moan about HHH in 2003 but it's nothing compared to Bare Minimum Brock.
