Dat Britt Baker interview. Seriously, Britney and Rebel are the two prettiest ladies in all of AEW.

Cool stat.
Tay Conti was in the first quarter for NXT to beat AEW in the ratings ( I think week 6 or 7) and in 2021 was in the last quarter to beat NXT in the ratings. Talk about coming full circle and further shows that she should be pushed as one of their aces of the division

Conti and Bunny have both improved so much and I'm proud that the women's division shows you aren't a death slot if you care, nothing is, and AEW cared enough to set up a story with them last week to pay off this week.
I hope we get more women's matches and showcases as we continue on, but there's promising stuff here, and Conti just looks like a future world champ.

Some of the highest female demo shows out there involve a lot of "True Crime" shows which are dead set around violence, murders, and even gunfights. Nothing AEW does is more than likely deterring the majority of that demo base.

I'm glad to see this given as evidence. Certainly I know that the women in my circle wouldn't be turned off by that sort of thing (one absolutely loved Baker/Rosa), but it can be hard to tell when talking about broad demographic trends instead of anecdotes.

I can only speak for myself, but as long as the blood and violence make sense in the match and the storyline, it's fine by me.
I'm glad that things seem to be clicking for the women's division now. They're getting more time, prominence, and storylines from AEW, and in return, the women are stepping up and improving so much. AEW has gone from having the worst women's division in mainstream American wrestling to having one with all the potential in the world. I hope the improvements can continue.

I know it isn't exactly a high bar, but that had to be the best Allie match I've ever seen. Conti's a great ring partner to be sure, but Allie's really come a long way from her days in Impact and early matches in AEW.

According to Allie she was dealing with a lot of self-confidence issues when she first came into AEW and she's worked on them considerably. I'd say having great coaches to help with her in ring work has also been a big plus for her, and other girls who I have seen rather noticable improvement from like Baker, Swole, and Ford.

Yeah, I think it's clear that they wanted to push their foreign talent first, use the time bought by doing that to train and develop a lot of younger women internally from the Nightmare Factory or whatever other schools, and then integrate them all together for a bigger, more diverse division...but, well, COVID happened. The bright side is that a whole lot of those green up-and-comers from a year ago are now rounding into form and coming into their own, which is going to pay dividends. Hopefully vaccines keep getting distributed around the world at a good pace, and they might end up with the fuller division they likely envisioned in the first place.

Leyla Hirsch vs Shanna is going to be a lot of fun. I feel like of all the talent AEW were pushing the pandemic hurt Shanna the most. She went from having a great war with Rose on Dark and seemed to be in a spot to be one of the main faces in the women's division, to the division arguably passing her by.

I dunno about that, it seemed like she was planted firmly in a JTTS role without any real potential to move upward. Not that there was much sample size, but she seemed to get thrown out into multi-woman matches outside of those good Dark matches with Nyla, and was generally treated as a good hand who could make sure the real star had a good match. Again, though: limited sample size, so it's up in the air whether she would have progressed further if she were around for more of 2020 and didn't have to share space with the likes of Tay Conti, Ryo Mizunami, Red Velvet, and Leyla Hirsch, who have all arrived since and have had more defined identities to go with the good ring work.

Shanna being a piece of shit is what ultimately hurt her the most.
Excited to see Kris back in action
