It was mentioned elsewhere that Julia Hart is only 19, so I decided to compile a list of as many ages as I could find to get a better sense of how talented some of these ladies are so quickly.
19 - Julia Hart 21 - Brooke Havok 22 - Anna Jay 23 - Riho 24 - Leyla Hirsch 25 - Kris Statlander, Tay Conti, Kilynn King, Madi Wrenkowski, Maki Ito 27 - Willow Nightingale 28 - Jade Cargill, Penelope Ford 29 - Red Velvet, Diamante, Reka Tehaka, Amber Nova 30 - Britt Baker 31 - Big Swole, VertVixen 32 - Hikaru Shida 33 - Bunny/Allie, Ryo Mizunami 34 - Serena Deeb, Thunder Rosa 37 - Leva Bates 38 - Nyla Rose
Obligatory "how is Riho still only 23" aside, that is a great crop of young talent in addition to the veterans. I couldn't find ages for other Dark/Elevation talents like Dani, Katalina, Tesha, Jazmin or the Sea Stars, nor did I see anything for Abadon but those are all in-play for the future as well. Also, shoutout to Leyla the grizzled young vet for wrestling like she's been at it forever.
If she stays healthy, Anna is going to be around as the cornerstone of the division for a long time.

Riho started wrestling when she was 8, certainly helps when you train that young to be a wrestler... But yeah the womens youth upside is just as good as the mens roster. They're really developing something great here

I saw Tesha Price in the audience on Dynamite, and it made me really happy. I didn't see her last week. I really want her to become a regular. I saw her and Queen Aminata are very close (on Twitter), I would love to see them tag together because I see so much potential in both of them.

Some people get a few actually. It's a sign of interest for sure but it's never a sure sign of anything.

Ah yes when Sammy went and got scolded by Lacey Evans who claimed he didn't know how to roll properly.

I REALLY think Tesha is a future solid mid-carder, and I want AEW to sign her to some tier of a contract. But if WWE wanted to hire her and call her Drizzie Norden, so be it. I just want her to succeed.

Jessamyn Duke's release I think is just a formality. She isn't leaving WWE so much as transitioning to a backstage role. It's essentially a soft retirement.
I'd like to see Brandi Lauren get a tryout with AEW, though are she and Janela still together?

Yay for Rebel getting a match this week. Also any gifs of her dancing in said match would be welcome.

I just like the whole thing she's got goin on where she seems a bit unhinged and feral. If she teams up with someone all the better, especially if AEW keeps building on Women Tag Teams.

So today Shida finally hits the year mark as AEW Womens Champ.
How would u rate her reign?
Im going to be as kind as possible and rate it a C considering the injuries, pandemic issues and how hard it took for the division to have some depth, and also Shida helped a lot with the Women Eliminator tourney which was a big turning point for the division.

I'm gonna say for how 2020 messed up the division they did the best they could in making her a dominant champion. She had great matches with almost everyone and I'd say will go down as having a good dominant reign. But I also think all things considered they're gonna take it off her soon if not with Baker at DoN

I will say this, if Shida retains at DON then have her follow the Roman Reigns path but instead of becoming the Tribal Chief have her wear the white suit again...

Shida's a great babyface. Maybe when they have Riho back more consistently. Heel Shida with say Sakura and Suruga flanking her isn't a bad idea.

There are Serena, Rosa, Kris, and yes Riho, with the last 2 being the ones Shida hasnt defeated yet. Looking at this weeks rankings again and Kris should be in the Top 5 next week imo.

I grade it on a curve because when she started out the pandemic hit and the division was pretty bad. But now the division is ramping up it feels like she wasn't given a chance to show herself in matches and some folks are getting tired of her. So I give her a B-

Finally, we can have the true discussions on the subject. Deleted it..... I didn't mean to post that and am not sure how it happened. LOL What I mean to post is that I didn't realize Nyla was 38. She looks younger than that to me. Regarding Shida, I'd give her reign a solid B. She's been a really good and, to me, credible champion all the while the division was built up and is now pretty damn solid. It's not her fault that during the first few months there was no one really credible to unseat her. Oh an that damn pandemic...... I've enjoyed watching her and would be fine if they let her keep it more, but I think it's time for Dr. Britt Baker (D....M....D) to get it. She's busted her a** as well.

Also, I like that AEW seems to be giving us longer reigns that mean something. The titles in AEW have some worth because they aren't flipping them every 4-6 weeks.
