Screenrant have a feature up on the project, but it's poorly researched screenrant.com/sonic-hedgehog-satam-cartoon-third-season-sequel/First off, it's not a full third season the team are making at the moment, just the pilot, it is hoped that when it's done they can pitch it to Sega and Wildbrain and only when it's greenlit with their approval can they continue to make new episodes on their time. Secondly, Johnny Gioeli never sang the original version of the theme song, he's only done the cover! Indeed; the original was done by Noisy Neighbors, though I think there was a different performance done for the pilot initially.

Update from Team Sea3on on their patreon
-They are putting the finishing touches to their pitch bible and will be in attendance at the upcoming Licencing Expo, it is their hope to arrange a meeting with SEGA to discuss IP licensing
-They want to raise enough funds to hand over the finishing touches to a professional studio
-They have secured a promotional interview with a large media outlet, which they haven't named yet

There's two Sonic cartoons currently in production. One of them set in the world of the current movies. The other a complete original story. I can't see Sega wanting a third, even if there's fan support behind it.

It's not like the return of Sally Acorn and Antoine are gonna help them move video games in 2022.

One of the shows, Sonic Prime, deals with the multiverse, so for all we know one of the surprises in it is that Sonic goes to Satam.

Another nifty Patreon update this morning. A screengrab of the Sea3on pitch bible, with the episode guide (all episodes listed were out of focus), with some character designs for SWAT Bots and Robotnik. I like to think Robotnik will probably make a cameo at the end of the episode, since (spoiler) {Spoiler}There are scenes in the episode set in the Void with Nagus, probably explaining how he broke free. In later issues of the comic, Nagus also reveals to Sally that Robotnik is trapped in the Void with her father. It's possible they'll hint to this a bit more close to the end of the episode right away The Mary Sue and Club Sega put out articles too.
