Randy Orton with the RKO is the first one that comes to mind
Jake and the DDT is another.

Mr. Kennedy probably got over early on in part due to how cool the Green Bay Plunge was.

IMO, Petey Williams would be entirely unknown if not for the Canadian Destroyer

DDP and the Diamond Cutter, specifically how many variations he could do of the move.

IMO, Petey Williams would be entirely unknown if not for the Canadian Destroyer he was a good wrestler without it ... one of my favorite matches from him was hinged on someone claiming that the Destroyer was all he had in his arsenal. So Petey responded by beating him in a match without using it. That said... it certainly is what got more eyeballs on him as it was before everyone and their mother started using it as a mid match move...

DDP and the Diamond Cutter, specifically how many variations he could do of the move. I didn't watch WCW in the day cause I was like 4 years old, but having seen some DDP before he started using it, pre-Diamond Cutter DDP was destined to be a midcarder for life, certainly not one of the top 5 all time WCW stars.

Giant's Chokeslam Meng's Tongan Death Grip Wrath's Meltdown Kidman's SSP Malenko's Texas Cloverleaf
He was obviously already over but the Scorpion Death Drop was perfect for Crow Sting.

Magnum TA and the belly-to-belly suplex. When he started in JCP, he would hit the ring running, whip his opponent to the ropes, hit the b-t-b and get the pin in less than 30 seconds. The fans loved it.

911's chokeslam. Granted, it was pretty much all he could do, but man did it get him over.

The Sharpshooter...he was already there, but the move put him over the top.

The Mandible Claw. It made Mankind look like a killer, and a credible threat to everybody on the roster. The Sharpshooter...he was already there, but the move put him over the top. Similarly, Sweet Chin Music. HBK was already over, but once he switched finishers he absolutely caught fire.

I think Lita would have taken off, anyway, but her diving hurricanrana and her moonsault did a lot to get her over in a big way.

Did Sheamus have the Brogue kick right from the beginning? I can't remember, but I feel like it might have been a big part of him climbing the ranks so quickly
Rusev's accolade as well.

Did Sheamus have the Brogue kick right from the beginning? I can't remember, but I feel like it might have been a big part of him climbing the ranks so quickly he had the Irish Curse as his finisher. (The STO Backbreaker thing) which eventually became his signature. I think the Brogue kick was like his third or fourth finisher actually. I believe it went Irish Curse, the High Cross, the White Noise and then finally the Brouge Kick. he also had the Cloverleaf but I don't know if he did that enough to be his finisher.

I think he would've been plenty over anyway, but it's hard to imagine what Okada would be like without the Rainmaker.
Also, Taz and his Tazplexes and later, the Tazmission. IIRC, his application of the Tazmission hold was the first instance of anyone in pro wrestling having their opponent submit via tapout instead of just saying yes or nodding their heads when the ref asks them. So not only did that get him over, but set a standard for submission finishers for an entire industry.
