The fact you’re asking that question should be enough of an answer. Millions... AND MILLIONS of losses~! This was always The People's Boss plan! SIGN ME UP. Finally The Rock has come back to the junk bond sale!

McMahon: "God damn it, Dwayne! Sell it to me. Sell it to me, right now!" The Rock: "How much are you willing to pay?" McMahon: "..." The Rock: "IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH YOU PAY! WE ARE NOT FOR SALE! IT'S FOR THE KIDS IN COLLEGE!"

They had a great product last go round plus The Rock has a show on NBC which should make it easier for negotiations Wise words from a legend.

Well damn, losing the Rock to Hollywood paid off for Vince after all. He lost a draw but gained a money mark.

I bought the WBF for 5 bucks and 2 cigarettes. You got ripped off. I wonder what actual value there is in buying the XFL. I guess the team names and logos are already done if the Rock wants to run a football league but I doubt it much beyond that.

If anyone can repair the brand, it’s the Rock. He has connections and is universally liked. I didn’t watch XFL 2.0, but the quality of play was never the issue. It was the biggest carny on the planet being involved that hurt the reputation. Remove Vince, add Dwayne? That could work.

I know I'm in the minority here but I like this. I was enjoying XFL 2.0 before covid 19 ended it. I think The Rock can do some good things with the brand.

If it transpires that Russell Brand ends up buying an extreme sports company soon, I'm going to lose my f***ing mind

The XFL selling for $15mil is the mainstream sports version of WWE buying WCW for $2-3mil, right? WCW at least had assets that would be extremely valuable to WWE. What in the world is valuable to anyone about the XFL? Exclusive rights to "He Hate Me" jerseys?

The XFL selling for $15mil is the mainstream sports version of WWE buying WCW for $2-3mil, right? All honesty, it probably sold for more: Rock is a partner in this with some capital group called Redbird, I think, who apparently also have a stake in YES (the Yankees' sports network here in the NYC region), so he's probably more just the public face of this while they put in the majority of the money.

Let's see how this plays out.
Is Rock doing it for passion, business or an expensive way to "give back" to Vince for launching him?

The company Rock is partnered with actually just got a controlling stake in the French soccer club Toulouse. Looking them up they do have their hands in a lot different avenues from sports to financial services, to energy.... they also seem to be pushing that they are young and innovative

Huh, I didn't know the Rock needed to launder money that badly.
