Here's the Complete History of SummerSlam, now updated with this year's results.A really fun SummerSlam. I liked mostly everything. It wasn't 2002 awesome, but it wasn't 1995 bad either, but near the upper half of best SummerSlams. The Kickoff Show was good. It’s nice for them to recognize Renee Young since she’s done with WWE. Apollo Crews VS MVP was an excellent Kickoff Match. I didn’t mind that they moved to the Kickoff. They gave it enough time and if it was on the main card it would have been much shorter. Also, I’m happy that they didn’t throw another match on the show for no reason. Asuka VS Banks was a great match until the finish. I like the moment between Dominik & Rey Mysterio. I don’t like WWE recognizing Retribution since it gives them publicity. I like Kevin Owens on commentary. The Street Profits VS Andrade & Angel Garza was a good match. Banks & Bayley’s promo was OK. Mandy Rose VS Sonya Deville was really good with the finish that I was expecting. Sonya needs to take time off to take care of herself after everything that she went through. What a weekend for wrestlers making their WWE debuts, Pat McAfee had an awesome match with Adam Cole at Takeover & now Dominik Mysterio had an excellent match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam. Maybe it's not the rookie but the wrestler they are against. Asuka VS Sasha Banks was another excellent match & what their previous matches should have been. Drew McIntyre VS Randy Orton was an awesome match. Awesome, Keith Lee is leaving NXT to go to RAW. So, it's OK that he lost the NXT Title to Karrion Kross at Takeover. Braun Strowman VS Bray Wyatt was OK, nothing special, but I can't believe that Roman Reigns is back. I guess WWE is right with the SummerSlam Tag Line, You Won't See It Coming.
