Imagine back in February, that in August, they would take the book from Marty Scurll and give it back to Delirious, and it would be largely considered good(ish) news. Weird how the pandemic became the least of their issues when the guy they gave the book and a reported seven figure deal to keep turned out to be extremely problematic.

Ugh, Delirious is booking? He's always been my absolute least favorite ROH booker.

His storytelling is so incoherent...

I'm optimistic about Delirious. He managed to salvage the company from what Cornette did to it, and 2014 and 2015 were both excellent years. The second half of 2016 shows he can bounce back from stagnant periods as well.
He's had some time off to recharge and essentially has a clean slate with a very good roster.

As nice as it was for us to get paid six months without having to work, the thing I appreciated the most was waiting until we knew more about the virus, the testing, etc. to keep us safe and sparing absolutely no cost to ensure we have testing and tracing. We also had weekly talent calls to talk about our concerns, ideas, and more. Many of the details of our return to taped television with new matches are here: www.rohwrestling.com/news/details-testing-protocols-tv-tapings-revealed

I’m loving the ROH weekly show it’s what I’ve wanted for a while.
When live shows start back up. I hope they are able to keep the tv in this taped setting.
Run live shows concurrently and airing them on streaming, and have ROH this Week as well as some pretaped segments on the tv show to help integrate the two.

I'm really enjoying the weekly show too. I'd encourage everyone to check out the first show of the relaunch that has the Dalton Castle-Jay Lethal match, perhaps the best one hour show of any wrestling promotion this year.

Castle vs. Brody King from last week was great as well. Castle is really looking great. I hope he’s given more to do.

I skipped Draper/Johnson because I'm just not interested in either that much. Castle/Brody was good, and the verbal/visual gymnastics everyone went through to show/mention Brody and not show/mention Marty were highly entertaining.

I wonder if the silver lining of COVID was Castle finally getting a real chance to heal. He's an absolute total package.

I've watched two episodes so far and MEH. I know that ROH was once the top indie promotion in this country and I'm not speaking about their legacy. I'm speaking of the current product. It comes off as, bush league? I don't know any of these guys, though I did recognize Dalton Castle from threads he's been mentioned in on here.
I could watch it more but it's just not as impressive as AEW to me. I can also watch Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and ROH on Saturday afternoons on NESN and at least ROH has captions.

If you want CWFH with captions, search on youtube for Championship Wrestling presented by Pro Shingle. That is the Memphis Airings of CWFH and they have captions. Added bonus you get less ads and same segments with Dustin and Maria Starr hosting.

I mean...if you don't know Dalton Castle outside of some threads on here, you're not really going to know just about anyone else, either, so I'm not sure what you mean. Definitely is smaller than AEW, that's just the nature of the promotion, and like Impact they're running empty arena for now given the pandemic, so things aren't going to feel especially big since they don't have access to a venue like Daly's Place. Honestly, while I've got issues supporting a Sinclair-run operation I've felt that ROH has had one of the more enjoyable products for a little while now. They blew their big chance with how they handled MSG and the immediate aftermath of that show in 2019, but once they got into summer of '19 through the start of the pandemic, and coming back from it with the Pure tournament (and finally really embracing the "wrestling as sport" presentation style), I've been a fan of most of the choices they've made. Definitely one of the more watchable TV products right now. I usually prioritize NJPW and try to watch AEW live, but when it comes to the "mid-major" tier of Impact, MLW, ROH, NWA, etc., I think ROH appeals the most directly to my tastes.

I'll continue to watch ROH and maybe it'll grow on me but it just feels different. I feel that there's definitely room for wrestling presented as-is with few thrills. I'm just not sure if it's what I want to see personally.

You might remember Jay Lethal from his Impact days, EC3 is being featured on tv a lot at the moment, The Briscoes have been there forever some reason, Matt Sydal said he taped another match with them, PJ Black was Justin Gabriel in WWE, and PCO has been wrestling for over 30 years he was Pierre Carl Ouellet in WWF. Agelina Love is there too I guess. The rest of the roster is a lot of amazing talent from over the world. It's not as a crazy insane roster it was 15 years ago, but their rebulding at the moment and put on great shows.

ROH has put together a really slick presentation for their TV shows. Kinda makes WWE look outdated when more major promotions are shifting over to this more “sports broadcast” presentation.
It’s my first time seeing them but SOS has got my attention. On the opposite end, the f*** was ECIII talking about, hahaha? Mans was all over the place.
Still, this TV show could be really fun once they get back into motion. Glad they are prioritizing safety during a time when so much of the industry has shown it’s full ass

Even if you haven’t heard of some of the talent ROH has really stepped up their production. The pretaped packages for each guy in the tournament made them feel like a star, gave guys a bit of personality and history.
As well as good stories booked in the first round with two former champions, mentor vs. student, two guys that came in together, these two guys have been compared to each other, etc. It was a good jumping off point if you hadn’t followed the product before.
