This...seems like another case of not reading the room. ESPECIALLY since most of the heavy hitters are pretty much indisposed between suspensions, potential lawsuits and other...stuff. Like, it just really feels like the wrong time to even consider something like that. I think that's only the case if those people actually come back. None of them were shown in the video. I think this is more of a relaunch for the brand sans those problems. I think we should be a little more fair in this situation until we have more info. I mean, it’s less being fair and more just the fact that the UK scene is still recovering from the accusations at this points d just relaunching the brand right now feels like “We need to get back to normal” rather than addressing some of the stuff they still have a part of (PROGRESS, ICW, their tag champions having accusations against them etc). Like, these aren’t insignificant things in the long term.

Don't believe any of Gallus either, though since Wolfgang is a tag champ, I dunno what they do with that. Can likely just vacate the titles since one of the Coffey's was accused too. Likely be the simpler thing to do. The best disrespect would be to just have a match for the vacant titles without even bothering to say in advance that they'd been vacated.

On a completely unrelated note f*** Rev Pro

So who are the problematic types that had major allegations made against them that are still on the NXT UK payroll? I’ve got (off the top of my head) Jordan Devlin, Wolfgang and Joe Coffey.

Man, that’ll look great when Jordan Devlin steps out with the Cruiserweight title and the company still ignores the fact they barely said a thing about his assault accusation.

Triple H at least half ass commented on it so I at least know he knows Devlin was accused. I’ve got no indication Tony Khan even ever heard some of his roster might be sex pests. Darby’s out there every week like Dream pushing me to the point of wanting to throw up. In regards to the UK talent though, wasn’t the word going around that the authorities were definitely looking into this shit? Did we ever hear anything more from that?

Even with Devlin, it was basically “We take all accusations seriously” and then rapid silence about others besides letting Ligero and Banks go which, as others have pointed out, wasn’t exactly like they had much going for them on the brand and were always there to control the scene.

They were taping the return episodes today. twitter.com/alexm_talksport/status/1301478491700035587?s=21Only info is that the commentary team will be Andy Shepherd (previously their ring announcer who had just started as the play-by-play before COVID) and Nigel McGuinness, returning to a role after being a COVID furlough (although weirdly, he’s doing that over the horn from the US, so his absence from TV hasn’t been because of him moving back to the UK, because he never did).

It shouldn't if Triple H's magic cleaning fluid does the trick

I mean, it helps that London wasn’t going to call them “Essential Workers” and have them travel up and down from their various locations.

Couple of things announced for the return to TV:
*The Heritage Cup tournament, with eight men (Wolfe, A-Kid, Mastiff, Conners, Webster, Dar, Seven and a mystery eighth entrant) competing in matches set under British Rounds rules *Two title matches set... Gallus v Jordan/Williams for the tag belts next week, Ray v Niven for the women’s belt the week after

Weren’t Gallus part of the NXT UK wrestlers outed by Speaking Out? Two of them were, yes, the main singles guy and one of the tag guys. See my “problematic types” post higher up the page.

Should also mention that after the tournament, the Heritage Cup will be defended going forward as a pseudo-championship, with all matches for that trophy to be competed for under British Rounds rules.

Sid Scala (the assistant GM of the brand) is another one that is allegedly a dodgy nonce, because I’m reading that his accuser is trying to get $15,000 up in a GoFundMe just trying and keep herself from drowning in legal fees.
