I don't know why that article being old means it isnt valid like. "When someone tells you who they are, believe them" applies more to corpos than humans. They don't change. Old shit is totally valid. I'm pretty sure John Oliver brought up the same shit about them at one point lol. But everyone knows he's left side of liberal so they know its for the right reasons. I feel like people with the correct opinion on vaccines have started to knee jerk to defending a large corporation because of the existence of anti-vaxxers and I think that's actually a bad impulse because Phizer is a f***ing evil ass company. Its just wrong to say their vaccines don't work. I also feel like there's a bit of political tribalism at play there. (I've been attacked before on Reddit for making valid criticism of Fauci that had nothing to do with vaccines (or masks, or social distancing, or anything Covid related at all lmao) because people see him as a hero.) I'm personally willing to wait and see if Levi's giving away the game and is another Leticia Wright or if he hates Phizer for totally legitimate reasons. And that isn't fan bias because I've seen neither Shazam or Chuck in my life. The thing is, this also isn’t just about *this* tweet. This tweet has caused other things from Levi’s past(including an absolute yikes take of his regarding white privilege) to be cycled back to front of the queue and, yeah dude’s looking just super whack in general, regardless his stance on vaccinations may be. That's the thing about this drag, and honestly most Twitter dragging sessions: whatever his opinions on... well, that, it just sort of opened the floodgates and said "Zachary Levi has a lot of terrible opinions".

It'd be really easy to just clarify it with a "I'm vaccinated and grateful for it, BUT." Unfortunately, he threw that tweet into the ether without any context but to assume the worst. The anti-vax crazies and conspiracy theorists have done a really good job of being the turd in the punchbowl when it comes to criticism of Big Pharma.
At best, he's a moron. At worst, he's an anti-vax nutjob (and probably other bad things).

I don't think he's an antivaxxer, but anybody who says with a straight face that Jordan Peterson is one of history's greatest thinkers is definitely a moron.

At this point DC needs to grow its actors in a lab where they'll be prevented from scandal.

I wish all these terrible f***ing people would just own up to the fact that they're f***ing terrible wholesale so we could get on with replacing them with people who aren't f***ing terrible.

Loved the first movie, probably one of my favorite DC movies, this one looks like it could be a blast. Definitely going to check it out when it comes out

Makes sense. Sadly as more trailers have come out the film has more and more began to look aggressively mid *at best*. The Rock not wanting to play ball with Shazam is looking to end up in the end damaging not one but two whole ass films.

I was curious and looked at my local theater and there's like six airings for it already listed on Thursday, March 16th. 3 PM the earliest.

They should have called this new one "Shazam: Fury of the Grodds" and just had everyone fighting Gorillas the whole movie.

Guessing pleanty of distractions could be to blame (Scream 6, NCAA Basketball Tournament for example)

Guessing pleanty of distractions could be to blame (Scream 6, NCAA Basketball Tournament for example) Dude, sports events like a college basketball tournament have never once affected the box office of a superhero movie and never will. Let it go.

Warner/DC declaring Batgirl so bad it can never see the light of day, only to turn around and drop two box office bombs in a row and and Aquaman 2 that had people walking out of the test screenings is f***ing hilarious.

I am bummed out this sounds like a bomb, given I did find the first one refreshing at the time and pretty fun, along with loving how Mister Mind looked in the tease, only for him to presumably not be the villain here. Blech.

I hope it does as poorly as projected. Levi deserves it.

With this coming off of Ant-Man being rather ehhh, I'm ready for a bunch of kneejerk articles about how superhero franchise movies are hitting a wall. While I think both Marvel & DC are definitely hitting diminishing returns, I feel like these articles happen about as often as articles about Nintendo dying.
Also, if nothing else, I'll give Shazam FotG credit for doing CG superhero shenanigans in Philly proper and not either your usual genericized DC cities or New York/LA/SF. Those three cities are so ridiculously overused for this sort of thing that it's weirdly refreshing to see like Boston in Godzilla or Chicago in Transformers.

Although I enjoyed the first one, the most enjoyable scenes for me were the ones where Billy was trying to figure everything out. Most of the last third didn't really do anything for me and I didn't like how Levi played Shazam like an overexcited elementary school kid when Billy was a more mature teenager. I can't see much in this movie to appeal to me personally so I'll definitely be skipping it.
