It has been this as well for a long time. People don't realise that several of their favourite burials were Vince trying to get someone over, he just doesn't know how any more. I believe Vince is a lot of things, but I’ve never believed that he’s someone who actively wants to put on a bad show. It’s just that his idea of “good” seems largely unique to him and not to any others. He definitely will put something bad on his show if it is to spite someone tho. Those are definitely not the case but he has in the past.

Why am I not surprised at the responses and who the response are from Real talk, calm the f*** down. I don’t like the gear and music either but to say he’s ruined off that is some shallow bullshit Give it some time Fans have been burned too much, so when they see the same shit again, the responses being what they are seems pretty justified. They wanna see a guy succeed for the very reasons he was succeeding, and Lee's already showing the big issue with Vince and main roster booking. If it's not broke, don't break it. I wanna see Keith Lee succeed, everyone here who is pissed also wants to see him succeed. No one wants to be right on another NXT callup dying a death, I sure as hell don't want to be. WWE just has not earned the right to be trusted. Lee's kinda been shoved into a make or break situation at Payback, I hope it's a make. Seriously they need to stop changing stuff on callups. It had merit when NXT was streamed on the WWE network (Even if it was still bullshit) but now NXT is supposedly a third brand on the calibur of RAW and Smackdown and this stuff makes it feel so meaningless and still a lesser brand that they need to change things once they go to a Red or Blue brand.

There is being pissed and there is calling someone an immediate failure You want them to succeed but as soon as things are diff from expectation (and as I said I don't like it), people want to shut down. Just really suspect Comes across more like people are jumping over each other to call it a failure as opposed to hoping for the best

Lol talk about overreactions in here, and from the usual suspects.
He debuted against the hottest act in the company and has a match with him at the next PPV. He’s most definitely not ruined because of superficial changes like music and gear (his NXT music wasn’t even very good).

You know I dont think taking passive aggressive swipes at "the usual suspects" for their thoughts is gonna help matters much. As far as the criticisms go it was also because of the match, which ended in a quick DQ, which he ended up losing, and then vanishing instantly to make Drew the focus. Showing up to later be shoehorned as "Drew McIntyre's best friend" in the Orton feud instead of carving a path more for himself. Also had a pretty hokey promo to match, very WWE writing. The gear and music were just on top of the suspect booking. Hopefully some of this stuff changes in time for Payback, sometimes enough of a stink can change at the very least cosmetic things, it did The Viking Experience...

As I said Payback's gonna be a big deal, he's in a match with Orton who is currently the top contender for the belt. Which is why I said he's in a make or break situation. He just lost to a DQ tonight, he kinda needs that big win to establish himself, question is, is it gonna come at Payback or is Orton gonna beat Lee here? Cause let me tell ya, if the discourse was bad from tonight, if Orton beats Lee at Payback, I can see it being a million times worse... I hope for the best, I just am gonna prepare myself for the worst... usual WWE planning

Keith Lee’s promos are always hokey with his stilted way of speaking, that’s just his style. And a DQ loss is not really a loss to be concerned about. If he got RKO’ed and pinned in two minutes then sure things would be looking bleak. As is, he interrupted and stood up the top heel in the business and has a PPV match with him one week into his main roster stint. This after being booked (by Vince) to be a monster at Surivor Series. He will be fine.

Especially considering it was supposed to be a dead serious promo about the fact his friend was being rushed to a hospital... not the time for puns really. Also Vince's method of booking is something I just dont trust right now. I'll feel better if Lee beats Orton at Payback, might feel even better if the man got better friggen shorts, but even still... really hoping for the best, he's so good it'd be a damn shame if they f***ed this up.

I get a kick out of the music complaint. I could have sworn the majority opinion of his music was “Corny as hell, and also probably better for a heel.”
The shorts are cursed though. Don’t mind the top honestly.

I like how people are like "Why are you freaking out because they have already made unnecessary changes to a guy who didn't need them? Just wait and see!"
Have y'all missed every other time they have done this? It has never, ever turned out well. Not one time.

Ivar is currently the greatest thing in the history of RAW, so you’re proving the point. (Erik not so much)

Just let Vince go the whole f***ing way and remove the Lee from his name so he is just called 'Keith'. You know he wants to.

Even if you look past the aesthetics changes, he still lost his debut match in under five minutes via DQ. Could Vince still strap a rocket to his ass? Sure. But I just don't think that's an ideal way to showcase a guy in any world. Even if you still want to do the Payback match, have him squash a dude and then confront Randy later. Have him stop a punt or brawl in the back or something. Last night booking wise didn't do a lot for him.

Are people still giving WWE a "wait and see" pass?
Ha, okay.

Are people still giving WWE a "wait and see" pass? Ha, okay. They should. Why complain about something before it’s actually happened? People are already writing Lee off based on new music (his old music was not good), his new gear (his old gear was nothing to write home about) and him losing by DQ (aka he was protected and didn’t take a clean loss against the top heel in all of wrestling).

I'm sure with enough time, Keith'll be just fine. Until then, just add him to the list of things to give WWE some time on to make work.
