Liverpool just....wow what do you even say at this point?
Rangers have won their first Scottish title in 10 years after Celtic failed to beat Dundee United.
And Man City are losing 2 nil to Man Utd. What a day so far.

There’s already some calls for Gerrard to replace Klopp. Stevie G as Manager of Liverpool is not if, it’s when and he deserves massive credit for his success at Rangers. But with all due respect, the gap in quality between the Scottish and English top flights is vast and he just isn’t ready yet.

We're a long way from the days of when a manager in Scotland could get a top job in England and excel. Hell, rookie managers who get their start in England tend not to get top jobs these days, much less excel in them.

But with all due respect, the gap in quality between the Scottish and English top flights is vast and he just isn’t ready yet. I both agree and disagree With the greatest respect I feel that the quality in the English top flight gets a tad over-rated at times, obviously it has more money and better quality players and some great teams like Liverpool last year, Man City this year etc Also I feel this also ignores the job that he has done with Rangers in Europe this season. It may be at Europa League level so I acknowledge that caveat but again they are undefeated this season (and they done well the past 2 years also) (For the record, I’m not saying that the leagues are comparable with the gap in finances etc. I probably just have a chip on my shoulder because I constantly hear about how rubbish Scottish football is. I know you weren’t saying that but I think for what it is, Scottish football is alright all things considered....just alright though ha) However overall I do agree with your assessment. He’s ultimately only won 1 trophy out of 8 so far. That 1 trophy was the most important one but still, there needs to be a constant stream of success for it to even be considered (and it’ll be interesting to see how they do in Champions League next year). Legends have been given a chance to manage their former team for less, see Lampard but look at how they turned out Also, I like Klopp. I understand Liverpool are going through a mind bending run of form that most teams at the bottom would probably not go through never mind last years champions but the dude has delivered a Champions League and Premiership title in his time there, I hope the guy gets the time and opportunity to fix it next season

I’ve always supported Scotland over England even though I’m English born and bred (it’s a Scottish heritage thing) and you can imagine the shit I got for that growing up. Another thing is that I’m a Rangers fan (which isn’t the norm for Liverpool fans). But when you have a league that no team outside Glasgow has won in the best part of four decades and until today the same team had been champion for nine straight years, then it’s just not comparable to the competition in the English top flight. I’m not deliberately ignoring their Europa run but seeing as how there hasn’t been a Scottish team in the Champions League for a few years now, I’d want to see a Manager of a Scottish club have a decent run there to prepare themselves for the expectations of an English club in the competition. I really do lament the decline of Scottish football. There are still the occasional players coming through and playing at a high level. But when you grew up where your club alone had three Scottish players who were “World Class”, it really illustrates the decline.

Just for clarity, I didn’t feel like you were berating Scottish football. I do get your point about truly world class players which is something that didn’t come to mind and is a good point and agreed about having a run in the Champions League

As it stands, I think City is the only team with Champions League football locked up for next season.
Everything else is just too tight to call yet. Obviously, United and Leicester are in advantageous positions, but there’s a lot of football left to be played.
We’ve got a relegation race and a battle for European places that are going to come down to the wire. The title might be done and dusted, but there’s still a lot to look forward to between now and the remainder of the season.

What an end to this Juventus/Porto match. Might be the game of the season, absolute thriller. Juventus fail again in the Champions League.

Pepe was outstanding today. Wow. I hate the little, dirty, rat-faced knacker but he’s always been a great defender, especially in the big games.

Pretty poor play from United today and a draw might be a lucky result.
The fact that Franck Kessie’s goal was disallowed was preposterous. If there was handling there, it was beyond minor and had no real bearing on the goal at all.
Brutal defending on Kjaer’s equalizer. How you allow him to get a free header like that in stoppage, I will never know.
The less said about Harry Maguire’s miss, the better. Absolute sitter. One of the worst misses you’ll see this season.

since the year 2001, my club Oldham Athletic have had 21 new managers. and 4 stints by John Sheridan. (so 23 sackings) this week we got our 22nd in Keith Curle, Whatever we did to the Football Gods i think we've suffered long enough now, could we just have one season of something good happening please?

Be grateful you haven't been gifted with ex-player Shefki Kuqi in charge despite rumours. He'd make sure the madness would only get worse.

Im sure his goal celebration will have calmed down then

Watford have had 23 since 2001. Liverpool have had 6. Man Utd have had 6, Arsenal have had 4.
