This is the big part. There's a lot of leeway in parody protections. You can outright say :This guy is stupid" because that's not provable one way or another, it's just "commentary". When Jim says that Kenny groomed Riho to be his Asian schoolgirl fetish sex doll, that's a direct accusation and one that is not even built on any sort of public perception or element to parody. It's just a horrific accusation. When Jim threatens violence on someone, that's not ha ha funny parody, that's a threat. I'm not going to say that G-Raver's shirt was clever or anything, but that by putting more thought into how he shares his own bile, Cornette's usual tactics don't really fall under this same umbrella. Big question is, does Cornette know the difference? I doubt it. I expect something stupid from him with this After seeing him outright telling women to get into the kitchen after years of railing on Russo's hatred of women, I don't think Cornette can tell the difference between anything when it comes to his own speech. |

Those claims were pretty easily debunked. From what I recall the "trainee" wasn't a trainee at all, just some guy in his 30s from across the country and the person who backed him up was the same guy on a different account. |

Those claims were pretty easily debunked. From what I recall the "trainee" wasn't a trainee at all, just some guy in his 30s from across the country and the person who backed him up was the same guy on a different account. It really wasnt , but the whole thing was a mess,disinformant was rampant. |

So, since the works are labeled as "creative imagination" something tells me Cornette is going to be real petty with this and create a shirt of his own If that had been his response in the first place, he probably would've made a little money and wouldn't have the backlash from suing a wrestler. But being Cornette isn't something you do because it makes sense. You do it out of passion. |

Correct me if I'm wrong but this means that the shirt can be sold as the trial proceededs as opposed to a final ruling. Yes, an injunction is basically a ruling that whatever action is being decided in court, cannot continue unless the court rules in favor of it. By this ruling, the court is deciding that since it is a question of whether this counts as speech (criticism or parody), or commerce, stopping the sale of the shirt is premature before the ruling is actually made. |

To be honest I didn't see the screenshots, I'm not saying the allegations aren't legit, nor do I want to appear to be defending any potential abusers, just that I was under the impression it was debunked. It's been a tiring few months for us all. His podcast really isn't a credible source. He's a carny bullshitter who knows how to manipulate and persuade. I think it's telling no other source outside Cornette himself has come to his own defense because the evidence is so damning. |

Also worth noting that Rico showed up on Kenny Bolin's podcast also saying that stuff went down and there were quid pro quo situations going on in OVW. The husband of the accused who would have been complicit given he was the one able to put pressure onto people to go along with the abuse saying that someone was a big nobody when he routinely says horrible and untrue things about people he just gets into twitter spats with is not a trustworthy source at all. "He's the same guy o na different account" to be a claim cited only from Cornette's ravings in particular is shaky at best. |
