I knew this would happen once Vince found out about Linda's Onlyfans account. Vince is gonna corner that market too. Coming soon, WWE's own service similar to OnlyFans. OnlySlams. OnlyMembersoftheWWEUniverse, pal!

This likely wont result in a unionization like it should but what should happen if that each and every single wrestler especially under WWE need to get themselves an agent.

Now, let's go back to that really uncomfortable Bayley interview from last year.
Bayley tried to slide by with that "we gotta entertain our fans" shit but that didn't work.

I was waiting for this to be brought back up again. Legit the WWE Wrestlers either have bought into or have to perpetuate so much bullshit that anyone who is actually in like, a regular job, when they hear it, and realize how f***ed it is, it really shows how messed up WWE really is.

I had a thought about this and if it's what ends up happening, then it's kind of a sinister genius. Vince lays down this edict knowing it will cause uproar among the roster. This will obviously be a hot button topic that will lead to meetings next week at Raw and Smackdown and NXT between management and talent. The blowback online has been big already, if not from the talent, at least from fans. What if this was Vince's plan all along? So now when Monday comes along and these meetings happen, and Vince agrees to roll back some of the demands. So talent can still do Cameo and Twitch and Youtube and all that stuff, but they can't stream with someone not wrestling for the company anymore or have to make sure the guest is someone approved by WWE(which is likely what Vince ACTUALLY wants) and that they not say anything that makes them or WWE look bad(which are very common demands in these situations). It's a compromise that Vince manipulates. Talent get to keep doing their thing and Vince gets to look like an understanding boss. I really doubt Vince now a days is even capable of playing that level of 4D chess with the roster , but I do hope/think that fans and the wrestlers online/backstage make enough noise that Vince makes a U-turn on this call. Not just that, but think about how much of a risk that gambit is. Among the people with twitch accounts are, sure, people like Mia Yim who he doesn't give one crap or another about. But New Day? AJ Styles? There's a risk that if they feel like their own ventures might be in danger, they're going to want to pull the hell back when it comes time to re-sign. Every stunt pulled on the roster loses them more people, and if they start f***ing with their big players on shit, it's going to end badly for them.

For the record, Vince is trending on twitter for the reasons you do think it is, it also made me find this:

Billie Kay needs to stop making WWE look bad by wishing people a happy birthday on Cameo.

Whether you agree or not that WWE are able to make things hard for former wrestlers using their gimmick names, if I was a WWE superstar I’d be pissed to find out my given name is not my own.

This is absolutely mind-boggling to me. I shouldn’t be surprised, since Vince apparently tried to hold the freaking House of Saud up for money, but I’m convinced he’s trying to kill his company.
If this report is true and Vince genuinely tries to enforce “owning” his performers’ private identities the house of cards he’s built is dangerously close to tumbling down.

Billie Kay needs to stop making WWE look bad by wishing people a happy birthday on Cameo. The detrimental way is making money and getting over in a way WWE doesn't want them to btw.

I’m an attorney (though not an intellectual property attorney) and there’s absolutely no way that’s accurate. I feel like that has to have been misquoted or something. Its more likely that he’s saying that the company has the right to control talents’ public appearances, even if such appearances are made under the talent’s real name, while under WWE contract, which is more plausible.

At this point I'am waiting for reports of McMahon calling for a talent meeting announcing he's destroying all of their homes to built a summer home getaway called "Vincetopia". When talents ask where are they suppost to live Vince replies "hmmm, don't know don't care"

According to FightfulSelect, multiple wrestlers confirmed to them that the part with Vince saying that he "owns their given name" isn't true so take that part with a grain of salt. It also makes sense given Mia Yim changed her Twitch name to her real initials so, yeah.
Still with that being said, they're still on that clock. Wonder what'll happen in 30 days. I wonder who they'll try to punish first.

It's why they don't really have people who were huge stars outside the WWE anymore. You get a wrestler who is still hungry, still fresh, who just wants to wrestle for the big leagues. You normalize all this stuff, you rope them in, and you put them on the stage. Then they realize it's a pretty raw deal but hey, guess what -- Vince owns everything about your persona now, and you've got to go back to square one if you leave. It's just awful.

Vince sends this out, everyone gets up in arms. On Monday or whenever they have an actual talent meeting, Vince can walk some of the more harsh demands back and the talent, from the big names to the bottom of the card, calm down enough to not make a stink about it anymore. In a way, it's trying to manipulate the morale of the locker room. I think Vince wanted to get some control of the situation while he could still be in front of it. I think that's why he did this now.
