... How does that make Lana a scapegoat? Her situation potentially being the tipping point in no way makes it her fault. But she didn’t say “scapegoat”. She said “escape goat” Completely different type of goat.

Looks like Lana's mad at what Meltzer said. I don't know why she would be angry with anyone reporting that she is the proverbial straw. If she is it is not her fault. She simply did a side gig that any "independent contractor" should be allowed to do without negative consequence. I don't know of any negative comments about Lana over this, it is all at Vince's overreaction.

OK, so say this ACTUALLY gets somewhere and the contract arrangements are made to change because of a union... What actually happens? Do WWE make their talents employees to try and keep their exclusive use, and pay all the extra costs like insurance, pension, etc. as stipulated by a union as a result? Or do they keep them independent to avoid those costs, but it’s forced to become TRUE independence and there’d hypothetically be nothing stopping a talent working RAW on Monday and Dynamite on Wednesday? Independent contractors aren’t necessarily permitted to work in other companies in the same industry during the length of their contract. Exclusivity itself does not turn it into an employer-employee arrangement.

What's the difference between Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson appearing in films, and other "Sports Entertainers" appearing on a different platform to make a living? Am I mistaken that he was under a WWE contract while filming early in his acting career? Is this some kind of "special permission" BS? Well, a big difference is The Rock was THE top guy when he started appearing in movies, so he had way more power to tell Vince to f*** off, your midcarders who have a side hustle are interchangeable cogs so Vince can threaten them. Also, it's not like this is the first time. Once he was in movies, how long did The Rock reeeeally stick around? Anyone who's had any success has been straight out of there. It's extra noticeable if you look at the history of women in the company, Maria on The Apprentice and Stacy Keibler on Dancing with the Stars both got heat for doing well outside the bubble and were released around those times. Vince was also on a producer on Rocks early films.

So... WWE hasn't thought about using Twitch to their advantage, putting content there as well as highlighting their talent, who can also promote WWE shows while playing games and fooling around?

So these will be the stars headlining SDL for the next year or so. Good for Big E.

Yeah so many companies are jumping to do stuff with WWE after the stellar year they've had, I'm sure.
Why did they only mention SD guys there?
I'm still wondering if any of what happened on SD last night may have had to do with this.

More value for all involved? So you’d pay them more if they were to stream on Twitch if you formed the partnership, right? Because if not, it’s not going to benefit them at all for it to go through you.

"More value for all involved" is a funny way of saying "more value for us". I don't see Amazon wanting to give WWE a straight cut of their end of twitch revenue so damn I guess they get to have a piece of everyone else's side hustle now huh

Wow and I thought Xavier's #JimmyYangGang hashtag was just a clever pun.
