This f***ing company. I hope we see a bunch of Chris Benoit photos on the Thunderdome now, because they deserve it! I'd a lot rather it be something like signs saying to unionize. More Nintendo characters on the screens.

Instead of "control and exploitation of" they could have said so many reasonable-sounding things: "portrayal consistent with WWE products" "efforts of our creative staff alongside the performers" "execution of long-term plans and storylines" "continuity of actions and characters across multiple platforms" "alignment with the values and needs of the company" They don't have to be true they just have to sound like you aren't actually just Skeletor. Vince is probably worse. At least Skeletor's heart was warmed by the magic of Christmas. Vince would want to be Horde Prime so bad.

Oh man, who had "Kevin Nash turns babyface" on their 2020 bingo card? "Don't be a mark for the business, you're here to make money, get the best deal you can" has pretty much been Nash's attitude forever. A lot of wrestlers from every era would be a lot better off if they followed his example instead of letting love for pro wrestling blind them to how flagrantly they're exploited. Yeah, Nash has always been one of the least boot-licking in the business, to the point it genuinely surprises me that he and Punk didn't get along more.

I'd a lot rather it be something like signs saying to unionize. More Nintendo characters on the screens. Make it Disney characters. Disney are the absolute worst when it comes to litigating for breaking their copyright.
Of course I want to see a babyface victory over WWE but at this point I'll gladly settle for feeding them to a bigger heel.

Shao Kahn? Might be a lateral career move, at worst. I mean you get to see different realms. But everyone knows the best boss is Geese Howard. You'd even get to see him more often than if Shao Kahn was your boss. Granted, you'd "see" him falling out the penthouse window for the third time that week, but still.

I really don’t understand the point of watching people play video games, but if people enjoy it so be it.
As for Cameo I was actually to pay to have Danhausen and Mance Warner record pep talks for anytime I have a bad day during the pandemic.
Surprisingly enough John Cena is giving away free personalized videos with purchase of his newest Elbow Grease kids book.
I think these platforms can be a great resource to connect with fans and make money for all parties involved. But if WWE either needs to pay their talent better or let them make outside money with some limitations. Seriously this needs to big story with people calling out sponsors or nothing will change.

I've read all of this thread and I only have one real question:
Can I blame that Bowling for Soup Alexa Bliss song for this?

I think these platforms can be a great resource to connect with fans and make money for all parties involved. WWE is all about putting smiles on peoples faces*. *If the smiles do not directly benefit World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. through financial gains, World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. reserves all right to revoke those smiles.

WWE needs to stop pretending it’s some big entertainment entity like WB or Disney.
Whenever they try that shit they expose how much they’re still old carny garbage like every wrestling company. Stop trying to be something you’re not or actually do the work and pay the price.
It’s not just in scummy stuff. Just on production. Like when they tried to do their version of ESPN’s Last Dance with their shitty Undertaker documentary. Whenever they try to act like they’re big time, it’s obvious they’re not even close when it comes to mainstream stuff

Stop trying to be something you’re not or actually do the work and pay the price. But, WWE has always thought they were bigger than what they truly are. It's that inferiority complex of theirs is why they just can't admit they're "pro wrestling", but "sports entertainment". To them, "pro wrestling" is sub-human; enjoyment for the dregs of society. Yet, "sports entertainment" is themselves consistently deluding themselves that what they produce has some quality to it, where they can win awards, sponsorships... prestige. It's like if you open up a fast food chain where you sell hamburgers, but you don't want to admit that you sell hamburgers, so you call them... "flattened steak sandwiches" or something similar to that. WWE is like this.

I have to give them credit, they said a lot of words without actually saying a damn thing.

Looks like Lana's mad at what Meltzer said. It could have been her. Or it could have been Big E promoting his cameo on his gear. Or AJ announcing his positive covid diagnosis on twitch. Or it could have been Dakota Kai and Woods joining NLs donation stream with the AEW guys. Point is even if one of those things were the straw that broke the camels back it's still something the WWE shouldn't have the right to be upset over. They're are independant contractors doing something independantly.

I think ultimately what we're seeing here is just an old control freak thinking that he can control human beings. That might've worked on the coked out meatheads of the 80's and 90's, but today's wrestlers are educated, and know their basic human rights. Enough to cause serious problems.
