Hmm...Disagreement between Father and Daughter maybe? Or is this WWE's way of backpedalling? I don't know lol. I'll just sit back and see all this unfold and see what happens. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Steph and Paul weren't even consulted about this.

I know Triple H hasn't been the most popular guy recently, and for good reason, but he's been on the "create your brand" thing for awhile IIRC. He's also had PC trainees take courses on finance management and seminars on what to do post-wrestling career.
Also have heard more than a few ex-WWE folks, including those who have pure venom for Vince, say nothing but good things about Triple H and Stephanie. That's why it was kinda shocking to hear KA and Gallows rip on Triple H.

There's two ways I can see this going: -Charitably, there's a rift in the company on if this is a good idea at all, and it's only Vince and Vince's ass eaters who want to make moves on this, and this statement from Steph is trying to damage control that in hopes that as the dust settles Vince can be nudged away from these ideas and act more normal. -Cynically, this is muddying up the waters on the company line and making it seem publicly there's no fire to this smoke, as the company starts to make bigger pushes for their whole 'cut deals together instead of individually' thing. Warp the story and make the company seem more reasonable so there's less public weight behind the wrestlers, and as the company starts letting wrestlers 'build their own brands' through their official channels and with them having some degree of control on it, they seem like they aren't being goblins while also taking cuts of wrestlers' twitch and Cameo money behind the scenes.

So like, is this a public rift we're seeing? Wild. Stephanie either is publicly stating a disagreement with her father's practices with that quote, as it is documented HHH and Stephanie actually are for the wrestlers making their own brands, or this is one of the absolute most tone deaf comments I've seen in awhile telling your wrestlers to go out there and make a brand with Vince openly trying to snuff it out. Since it's Stephanie, miss "Philantropy is the future of marketing"... it's a 50/50 shot.

It's pretty much this, yup. These a-holes spin so much I'm suprised that they haven't been tapped as an alternative energy source.

Yeah you're right actually, I think this is less a rift and more damage control.

Yeah you're right actually, I think this is less a rift and more damage control. HHH and Stephanie have only been friends with the roster when it's convenient for them if Gallows and Anderson are to be believed, I dont know if theyre AS BAD as Vince, that's hard, but they're damn sure no better I'm sure wrestlers like Creed are looking at statements like that and are absolutely thrilled their livelihoods and future are in the hands of these people.

Or maybe they won’t be stopping everyone from engaging in all these outside ventures. All we really have is their vaguely worded statement. Might be as simple as changing the accounts to their real names.
