One of the worst parts of the Rusev/Corbin gen of wrestlers is the speed and frequency they go to Dave Meltzer as their boogeyman. Add Ryback to the list today. He wrote (then deleted) on Twitter that the world would be better if Dave was six feet under. I'm convinced every WWE employee goes through the Clockwork Orange video montage with just clips of Dave missing Alvarez's jokes or talking for 14 minutes straight about the 18-34 female demo to the point that the wrestler breaks down and cries. |

Prediction: this is being overblown and will probably just apply to Cameo because WWE has their own version of it in development. Per the latest update from Meltzer, looks like this was the case. |

That vague statement came after the thing the wrestlers were told that caused this tizzy in the first place, so they certainly did tell people one thing taken very confusingly like it was a huge deal, then make a foggy and noncommittal bunch of words that was exceedingly vague, and now are saying something that doesn't even really track with that vague statement, given that twitch is way more of an active, contractual partnership than Cameo acting as the middleman to shout-out videos. I think there's something really oversimplifying in the position that because everything didn't make sense, that what's going on today is probably just the clarifying of the original, horribly expressed points conveyed to multiple sources in different, inept ways across different days. Edit, from the article: "Nothing was made clear of exactly what won't be allowed although the belief was that Cameo wouldn't be allowed but we were told that was still super vague." Nothing was actually clarified. |
