You’ll pay for that remark.. And why not keep the cards you use to pay for things in a Ridge Wallet! And you're gonna want to have that Ridge Wallet to keep the money you use to buy the new supersonic toothbrush. By the way, if anyone was actually considering a ridge wallet, don't bother. Just get one of the £10 clones and it'll probably be better because they fixed the fact that all your cards pop out at once.

In an unexpexted turn, Vince will get his own Twitch channel before turning Survivor Series into a real life Fall Guys show.

One of the worst parts of the Rusev/Corbin gen of wrestlers is the speed and frequency they go to Dave Meltzer as their boogeyman. Add Ryback to the list today. He wrote (then deleted) on Twitter that the world would be better if Dave was six feet under. I'm convinced every WWE employee goes through the Clockwork Orange video montage with just clips of Dave missing Alvarez's jokes or talking for 14 minutes straight about the 18-34 female demo to the point that the wrestler breaks down and cries. Poor Davey Meltzerheart can't catch a break.

I’m not reading through 40 pages but I don’t see there being a problem with them allowing them to continue but not use the names WWE owns the trademarks for.

In an unexpexted turn, Vince will get his own Twitch channel before turning Survivor Series into a real life Fall Guys show. That would legit be more entertaining than the last 10 Survivor Series or so.

My instance in it now that tjey mostyl backpedaled is : So WWE talent shouldnt use their in ring name on social media ,on media interviews or anywhere not being an official wwe show. Because Wrestling isnt like movies ,for a long time wrestlers lived as the character, till this day they do.If Vince wants to separate it ,he need to serparate it for everything not just when it is good for him. Or in a few words: there is a reason WWE is the only company that keeps name rights

Really I still think even this is pretty bullshit, mostly for the Cameo thing but also because it's hardly unheard of for people to list their most famous roles when they're doing the convention rounds or something and this is basically the same thing. It's just in this particular case for the kinds of fans who care about this stuff to begin with not being able to do it probably won't be a massive impediment anyway.

This definitely sounds like Vince deeply overstepping boundaries when it comes to his talent as "independent contractors," and backpedaling only as far as he feels he can get away with and only after it was pointed out that a) a rather large chunk of the current talent will take the firing before they give up those streams of income, b) there is no way any prospect with WWE would sign any contract which restricts their secondary sources of income to such an extent, and c) any penalties the company may impose against the talent for breaches of the order would not hold up in court. There are larger forces at work here. The one advantage "independent contractors" have over "employees" is that contractors' outside work cannot be considered "work for hire," even when it meets all the criteria for that consideration otherwise. A pro wrestler's scope of work can be much larger than even a soap actor's, insofar that their character is so enmeshed with them as a human being that separating the two is conceivably near-impossible. It would seem that Vince's gambit here was to open the door for the company to take over all of their talent's works regardless of status. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Work_for_hire#Law_in_the_United_StatesIANAL, but Vince wouldn't have had a legal leg to stand on.

This honestly feels like one of those moments where you suddenly thought "Why don't I do this? It's so obvious why didn't I do it before!? It's a great idea dammit! I'm gonna do it right now!" And every day that passes you find more and more holes in your quick decision so you keep cutting back and back until you are left with no real change...then you tell yourself "Ok, no more rash decisions after I wake up from a bender" and you repeat the cycle about two weeks later.

The worst part? Sami Zayn only had El Generico Shirts. Not even a WWE owned IP. So much for "only not using their names" Pretty sure I saw all the proceeds from said shirts went to charity too. Nice job WWE. Really great optics. (yes, I know they couldn't just carve out an exception for him based on his own IP or donating all the proceeds, it's just not a good look nevertheless)

Pretty much every WWE talent who on Twitch. Ive seen in the last week, using a real name or something different from there ring name. Everyone at some point in a stream have said they ain't stopping or going anywhere. I feel the "owning" of there real name isn't 100% true but I guess I have to be in the locker room to know what been said.
